She is a very kind professor who definitely cares about her students. If you skip class you won't pass. If you don't study for her quizzes or tests you won't pass. However, she is very willing to meet outside of class, is very easy to follow, and is passionate for what she teaches. I highly reccomend her.

I had Dr. Shiba for my J-Term Intro to Psychology class, so of course it was tough. She's a wonderful professor, though, and really wants to get to know her students. Sweet as can be & truly wants to help people learn. I highly recommend taking her class.

Very kind and understanding person. sometimes lectures are a hair disorganized, but availible for clarification during office hours. Honestly really cares about your ability to learn and grasp material. Like all MC professors, excellent.

She is a very nice person and is quite helpful, but she's a horrble teacher. She's unorganized and her teaching style is horrible. We didn't even talk about Adolescent Psychology until about 4 weeks into the class. Her tests don't match up with her notes either. She grades everything really easy though.

Kathie is one of the nicest people I have ever met. She really enjoys talking to you unlike some other professors. Her class really got me thinking about not only my rights as an American Citizen, but also about the responsibilities that I have as well. It was a really good journey.

I really enjoyed the class. It is true that you have to read the book. Her lectures are helpful, but not always on topic. If you ever need help outside of the classroom with anything though, she is wonderful for that. She is fair. You just have to go to class, participate, and do the homework.

I loved kathie's class... bu prepared she does tenf to get off the subject. Definitally read the book but listen to her lectures too and look at the websites from the book.. she gets a lot for the tests from there. Good luck. I loved the class.
