One of the best professors i have had. Shes very good at explaining concepts, she keeps lectures light and has a great sense of humor. Read the book before lecture and download the powerpoints and her class is extremely easy

Comment:

This course was the most difficult of my fall semester. Professor Brown presents this material in a way that is actually interesting and understandable. The exams are very difficult so take advantage of her office hours and study guides. Meet with others to study and anyone can pass easily. One paper on your own personality is EASY! :)

Dr. Brown is by far the best professor at Cal State Fullerton. She is so helpful and extremely nice. She is an amazing, AMAZING, professor. If you don't take Dr. Brown for Psych Testing, you are making a HUGE mistake. She is the most helpful teacher ever! She is the nicest professor you will find at Cal state Fullerton. She really cares about her students and makes everything super clear. She is very approachable and helpful. As long as you study a bit the tests are fairly easy. The one paper you do all semester is pretty easy too. Great teacher!

I LOVE Dr. Brown. One of the BEST professors I've ever had. Lectures are clear and informative. She makes psych testing as easy as possible, and it actually ended up being my favorite class of the semester. She give you study guides for tests that are good if you use them. I wish I could have her again for another class! She's just AWESOME Take her

Very nice, easy teacher. She uses power point slides with spaces to take notes. Tests are multiple choice and are easy to pass if you just study your notes and power point slides. Paying attention is by far the easiest way to be prepared for a quiz. She hints when there will be one. Be thorough with your paper and presentation.

Great professor! Had her also for Adv. Developmental, which was a great 400-level class! She makes the subject do-able, and is much easier than the other professors for Psych Testing. As long as you do the homework, and show up for class, you'll do fine!

Dr. Brown is a tough but fair professor. For the research projects, she's explains every step and guides you through both papers. She's got a great sense of humor and that makes the boring lectures more interesting. Go to class all the time and read the book and you'll do fine on the tests.

Her research papers are tedious, but I'm glad that she went through them every step of the way. She's very helpful and her Powerpoint lectures/notes are clear. There's basically no surprises on the test. She let's you know what to expect and what to prepare for. She's a wonderful professor and I had an enjoyable, yet stressful, experience.

This teacher was very organized. You can download her PowerPoint presentations before class and make additional notes if necessary. Study HARD for the tests and don't miss class or you will fall behind. Class gives good perspective on the uses and shortcomings of psychological tests. Know statistics before taking this class or you won't do well.

She is a great teacher; always prepared for class. I recommend you download her powerpoint lectures before you come to class so that you can supplement her notes with any info. she gives you during lecture; the notes will make more sense to you. There're 2 midtrms, a final, & a paper. The paper is easy; just follow the guidelines & you'll to great!

Adv. Develop. only taught Fall, but is well worth it. Like she says on the first day of class: it is NOT for everyone; format of class is untraditional: it is interactive (no lecture or tests), so you will only get out of it what you put it (seriously). It is a small class (12-15 ppl) & your absense will be noticed. Don't take just for the grade.

Great professor- course expectations are clear, lectures are engaging and insightful; she's super knowledgeable and communicates well with students- warm, nice, and encourages students to participate in course material and apply it to "real life." Take her for any Psych class you can! She's one of the best at CSUF. Highly recommended- thumbs up!

This was one of the nicest teachers I have ever had. I took her class one fall and then in the summer and she remembered my name! She is very personable, and yeah her tests can be difficult, but just come to class, take notes, and read the text and you will have fun!
