Pam is excellent at engaging students. Assignments were minimal, exams fair. Used a good textbook and if you read it there was no reason to not do well. Funny, personable, good lectures. I will be looking to take more classes with her.

This was one of the worst anthro classes I've taken. It was all discussion and she lectured very little. She gave us alot of info to read that was not on the exam. The final was insanely hard and she marked it even harder. She marks papers very hard. I would not recommend this prof. IF you don't think exactly like her you get a bad mark.

Pam is an absolutely amazing prof. She is passionate and dedicated to her work. I learned more from her than from any other prof or teacher in my entire life, and she inspired me to major in Women's and Gender Studies. Yes she is demanding, but not unreasonable - she merely expects people to actually learn.

Pam is a wonderful, incredibly intelligent prof. Her lectures are always entertaining, but make sure you pay attention! Prof Downe is a tough marker with high expectations that are not unattainable if you pay attention and apply yourself. Those with negative comments are probably the ones who expected good grades without working for them! A+ lady.

I found her comments on my papers really, really helpful. I didn't do all that greate in the course but she helped me to see how the papers could be better. Her exams are killers, though, but she expects students to know the material. I thought she was a really good prof.

She does not say good things when she marks papers, she only points out what you did wrong, but her bad comments are too ambiguous- she does't suggest how to improve your papers. she usually assigns 2-3 papers/3 credit class. She is about average with the grade she gives you on papers. Her finals are hard and the questions on them are not clear,

marks ridiculously hard. takes a mark off for every citation mistake. does know what shes talking about and explains well but definately has her favorite students. those she likes will do way better than those she doesnt.

Hard marker with high expectations. However, she is a very intelligent and engaging prof who weaves personal experience into her lectures and isn't afraid to be blunt or humorous to spice up her lecture and get her point across. Tutorials were brutal (not her fault) but generally the class is quite good if you are interested in the subject.
