she seems like one of those prof that has a burned out passion to teach, she sounds like she doesn't want to be there. Often makes calculation mistakes on the projector and corrected by students. Explanations were sped through and taught the simple concepts. Does cool experiments in class. Exams were tough (as the usual for chem).

One of the worst professors I have had at the U of M. She is a very cold and rude person, would belittle students when they ask a question. Seems to take more interest in her masters students. Stay far away!!!

I would say she is very knowledgeable in her field however with that said she seems to think her students have the same understanding as her. She does not promote students asking questions in class. If you must take it with her, have a good set of notes & do the extra practice Q's in text. I would advise taking it with a different prof if you can.

I am a second year BSc and this is the WORST PROFESSOR I have ever had at U of M. She gived the impression that she couldn't care less about how her students do on this course. Her teaching style is very random and unorganized. Do you like listening to the lecture or writing notes? Because there is no way you can do both in her class.

Very dry. Doesn't seem like she wants to be there at all. However, she does know her stuff well, but I just didn't like her style of teaching very much. On the plus side, she did alot of fun demo's in lectures that had a purpose. Her exams were fair (with reasonable studying)

I don't find her very useful. Considering that it is her first time teaching this class, she rushes through important topic taht are in our online assignments and the new textbook is just abyssmal. It has few examples which only makes this worse. I feel she does come off as cold and rather rude, and there was no online notes or practice exams

Very good explanations, made the course feel really easy. However, the class pacing was a bit slow and I felt that she could have went more in depth. Also, she plays favourites. Unless you were in her summer research group she didn't have an interest in helping you and could actually be quite rude and condescending.

She is very biased and cold. She has been overtly rude and unkind. Talks down to students and oversimplifies interesting material to make it a dribble of simple chemistry. Trys to come off more clever than she really is.

Definitely keeps your interest in class despite some otherwise boring material. Genuinely cares about her students and their understanding in class. Can easily intimidate her students but don't let it throw you. Think carefully before buying the Atkins textbook.

Excellent professor. DOES NOT teach from the textbook, even mentions and shows how Atkins is continuously a pain in the ___. I think she tried to put on a "mean" persona, but is very helpful and clear when you ask for help, granted that you have at leaset tried to understand the topic before hand.
