The assigments were enjoyable and interesting, she supplied really thought-provoking topics. The exams are hard. The final has an essay component worth 70% of the exam. She has a sense of humour, good class. Oh..keep up with your readings! You go through a novel per week the last few weeks of the semester.

I really enjoyed her class because she made academic reading and writing interesting. Unfortunately unless you really understand what she wants it's possible to not do so well in this class. The assignments that were assigned were interesting and different making the class more captivating. The Lecture reports were fun as well.

K. Curtis is an great prof! The readings she chose for the course were very interesting and informative. She's also kinda funny! She is very fair in how she treats her students and in her marking, so I don't suggest taking this class if you want to slack off. If you're willing to do the work you wont do poorly in her class.

Great class. Was able to actually use the techniques used in the class for other classes, which really was shocking :P You have to work to do well in this class, but your efforts will pay off... Excellent, friendly teacher :)

Mrs. Curtis is really nice; however, she is not helpful. I asked her how I was doing on a draft I had written for the essay we were doing and she said I was on the right track, I changed what she told me to do, and I got a "D". She does not make the class interesting, and if you are in her class, I say: "GET THE HELL OUT!"

Very nice lady. Incredibly helpful and even has a standing offer to help any student who has ever taken her class, no matter what year or how long ago. Obvously she's dedicated and in my mind that is what makes her such a good prof. The coursework is dull, but that has nothing to do with her teaching abilities. I learned alot.

Excellent prof! This course was a lot of work and challenging but that's what made me enjoy it. I learnt so much! She really cares about her students and thoughtfully chooses readings and plans assignments carefully. You probably won't enjoy her classes if you're unwilling to work hard though.

She really tries to make the material interesting for you even though she knows most people find it boring. Helpfull outside of class and is reasonable with grades. If you get involved in class and put effort into your essays you will get a good grade.

Near the beginning of the year I absolutely despise her, well despise is a strong word , but you know what I mean, after you are frustrated after receiving a failing grade just cause you didn't understand what the hell you had to do. But near the end it got better, and I must say she's allright.

In the first week, she spent more time instructing Astrophysics than Englsih. There is no real focus in her assignments and they lack any real association with English. On my paper, I was marked down because my graph, notice how I said graph was incorect. Wouldn't recommend taking any class with her, and hopefully she won't make tenure.

Boring, Boring, boring. The reading assignments sucked, the written assignments were pointlist and unclear. She is a very Hard marker and she has somewhat rude comments. With this teacher i learned nothing and it was a very big waste of time. I think i was better at english before that class and i definitely enjoyed it more.
