Please do everything in your power to avoid this woman. If you must take her class, do it pass/fail. She's incredibly disorganized and the quizzes/exams include none of the material covered in class. Even our MSSC tutor was confused as to what was going on. Save yourself the stress and stay far away.

Comment:

Professor Edwards is about women's health and that makes the class worth taking. Though she is a difficult professor, if you put in the effort you learn a lot and gain new perspective. I think she's great.

She's a really nice woman outside of class but frankly a terrible professor. Very difficult grader, lectures are difficult to follow, information from her often conflicts with the textbook, little regard for student privacy, quizzes are nearly impossible to pass. Information was interesting but ultimately taking the class was a huge mistake.

Really did not have her act together. Asked for missing work and didn't even know what missing work she was asking for. Too many mediums for turning in work. I can tell she's a brilliant woman and takes a major interest in women's health but it didn't translate well.

Very passionate about women's health, but extremely ineffective at teaching about it.I am grateful to have taken a class with an anatomy laboratory component (I took it when you still had to dissect cats)and probably wouldn't have ever learned about anatomy at all if I hadn't taken the class. But she took the lab out of the class. So don't take it.

Just say no and save yourself frustration. I took this class as an english major looking for an easy bio credit because the course description sounded great. It could've been an awesome class with a different prof. She didn't know what she wanted, didn't know when things were due, didn't know my name, made grading mistakes, and made no sense.

She puts the exams out so anyone can see them. No regard for privacy. She likes to deal with women. A nice person at heart. Sweet. But one of the usual Kenyon tenured profs. They get really comfortable knowing that there is NOTHING that they can do to get the boot.

After about 2 or 3 classes with her, you'd think I would've learned. Disorganized to no end, confusing, unaccepting of others' ideas... the list goes on. Too bad the department is so small, because these were a few classes that I got nothing out of. I think microscopy was one of them and I can honestly say I still can't properly focus one!

FREAKING AVOID HER if you're interested at all in the subject. Her loudness in her lectures doesn't make up for the fact that she's boring as hell. Has some kind of power issues, if she is questioned on her info she'll give you a tude. Unpredictable stuff on tests that even if you studied a lot you'll probably still mess up.

Horrible. I've NEVER had such a bad professor. Going to her class is depressing and useless. She doesn't teach material in any kind of organized fashion and her tests and quizzes are impossible. Kenyon really needs to get rid of her.
