Amazing lecturer. Very clear and concise with some dry humour. Super easy to follow lectures even at 8:30 PM! Also super easy marker and happy to grant extensions. Approachable, too. All around an incredible prof

I took this class as an elective because I read a Narcity article about the 14 easiest courses at Dal. I am now convinced that the author of this article has never attended university in their entire life. There are only 2 essays and an exam, but nothing makes sense and you're marked super difficultly. My elective was my hardest class this term.

Comment:
Makes the best of a 3 hour lecture on a Monday night. I would be able to pay better attention if it didn't run so late, but I know that's nothing on her. The readings are incredible, but the lecture content can be absorbed by the reading. I don't always feel engaged, but that could be due to my own fatigue. A fun class taught by a lovely woman!

Exam very fact rather than analysis based so easy to do well if you'd done all the readings and attended lectures. TAs gave good feedback on papers but the prof herself seemed detached from them.

Great prof. She seems a bit unapproachable due to her eye contact (or lack thereof), but she's really, really kind and always willing to answer questions. Her lectures are very well organized. Only complaint is student presentations. The good ones are GOOD, but the bad ones are a waste of 15 mins that could be better used by Kathryn herself.

She's really good at explaining stuff, especially if you ask her for help. She's cool and can be pretty funny as well. However, her voice can get kinda drone-y and boring, especially during FYP lectures. Still, she's pretty cool!

Lovely woman, very knowledgeable, not cut out to lecture at all. I have learned nothing from her lectures I could not have picked out of the readings easily on my own. Most of the class is spent on summary and videos.

Loved her. Lectures were thorough and well-spoken. She was clear in what she wanted from assignments. A bit of a tough marker but well worth it. Enjoyed the course very much. She is a pleasant woman who knows her stuff.
