I really do not understand at all why people rate her positively. She is nothing short of an absolute nightmare. The class isn't particularly difficult but she's a really offputting person. Run and don't walk away from her classes. I question the administration's wisdom in making her the chair of the department. She is not a positive role model.

Love Professor Binder!! Very helpful. Class time goes by quickly. Always starts off her class with a "commonly held belief" about "research" that may or may not be true and gives more info on that. The class itself (including the lab portion) helps you design/ create own research study and project in a group. I enjoy this class!

Very engaged professor with interesting stories for relating research methods to real life. I think the quality of your research methods group and lab instructor ultimately determines how you will feel about research methods as a class.

I've never encountered a professor who practices such blatant favoritism in and outside of the classroom. I think she does it because she's so insecure about how underqualified she is to teach. She has horrible grammar and is often ill prepared for class lecture. Dumbs down and sucks the soul out of a lively subject. Thumbs way, way down

I did not find this class particularly stimulating in any way. Made the mind seem like something Prof.Binder could dissect and predict in everyway, and which should conform to her outdated research. I would slit my wrists if it were.

Okay, Methods is not a fun class. But it's not KBinder's fault, really. I think she's great. She's really enthusiastic and easy going. I look forward to taking cognitive with her in the spring.

Kathy is a great professor! She's very helpful and makes the material clear. The labs are a lot of work but as long as you get along with your lab group you'll be fine.

Kathy is wonderful. If you can't get through this class it's probably a sign you're not meant to be a Psych major as this is all material you will need later on.

Her class is structured very poorly. I got "A"s on the tests but the lab made me want to shoot myself in the head. The material is easty to understand, but she stresses it up just so you'll think Psychology is a "hard science" or whatever. What a joke.

Kathy R-O-C-K-S! This is a tough class and can be stressful, she really brings the material to life. Most important in methods though, are your lab group, and lab TA. Get into Lisa's lab. She is phenominally helpful and caring!
