He is just a great teacher! I had an argument with him before I started at the school, then took every class I could with him. He is funny, sardonic, and the besy professor at the school. 23 years later, I am grateful for him!

I took an Honors class with Bramlett and he really opened my perspective on SO many topics. He makes you work hard for your grade, but will accommodate individual learning styles. I've met several older UNCA alumni and Bramlett was always the only professor they distinctly remembered. He will have a profound impact that will alter your view of life

Bramlett is in my opinion the best professor at UNCA. He is amazingly passionate and knowledgeable about the topics he covers and for political issues actually lived some of the most important events in the history of sexuality struggle. He has a wonderful dry sense of humor but also cares deeply about his students. If you need him he will help.

I have taken 3 Bramlett classes during my attendance at UNCA. He expects a lot of work form his students. There is a lot of reading and it can be overwhelming.Although, I learned so much from him. He is full of knowledge, and he is very passionate about sociology. Students need to show up to class, take notes,and do the readings.

I've taken several classes with Bramlett: 220, 340, 373, 420. He is seriously one of the best. He will make you work: there's a LOT of reading in his classes, but it's worth it. If Bramlett was not in the Soc dept. I would probably switched majors. He is wonderful, engaging, knowledgeable, passionate, he's bloody brilliant.

He is easily one of the best professors at UNCA (if not the best). He is knowledgeable and full of useful and relevant examples that allow you to truly conceptualize the topics. The class requires a lot of reading and you will not do well if you do not go and are not prepared for the tests. His papers really push you as a person. Excellent class

One of the best professors of all time: dedicated and passionate about his work, has extremely accessible office hours, will always answer questions, good balance of lecture and discussion in courses. Tests are difficult but manageable if you do the readings, take good notes, and study! Not a good professor for lazy/unmotivated people.

Excellent professor. Stimulates quality discussions in every class period. Seems to be an endless bound of knowledge and I always learn something new. There are a lot of readings, but it's not overwhelming at all. He gives you several days to complete a chapter. One of the best professors at UNCA, especially in the SOC dept.!

ONE OF THE MOST AMAZING/INFLUENTIAL PEOPLE I HAVE EVER MET! I have adopted him in my heart as a mentor I could never let go. I would suggest him with the highest regard for his intelligence, wit, humblness and ability to teach with a passion most teachers are scared of.
