I'm conflicted with Cheung. He's a nice guy - super passionate about Finance. His notes are sufficient to understand the material and he gives sample mcq.I personally am not a fan of his lecturing style. His mindset of challenging students is nice - but it is difficult when we don't understand because of poor lecturing. Conflicted.

Weekly Quizzes are intense so study for them hard. His language barrier is minor, and he is very passionate when teaching. Midterm is easy, Final comes from outer space (but he curves it to the moon). Go to class, study hard for the quizzes to take the burden off when studying for exams. You learn a lot from this class. NO TEXTBOOK NEEDED.

Keith is the amongst the best in the finance department. I'm shocked he didn't have a higher rating! I had him for 72-270 and he made it extremely understandable. He always gives valuable information for exams in class, but he's also hilarious so I don't see why anyone would skip to begin with!

He changed his teaching style for the better. The course is very rigorous but those who put the time and effort will be more than rewarded academically and in the work world. Not hard to get an A, just requires motivation and dedication if you love finance. The new TA is awesome too - likes to see his students succeed and really knows his stuff.

Posters such as the last one who said the finance lab is hard should probably drop out. If you can't click a few buttons and learn a few concepts about how the stock market works, perhaps business school isn't for you. Prof curves; spend time learning and an A is definitely attainable. Out of sight, out of mind. The prof takes a similar approach.

Avoid at all costs. He covers 3 courses all in 1. This is why grades are always super low and he has to curve every time. Overall, not a good professor. He always says "I want you just to get a little taste" but then expect us to know the concepts "upside down, inside out". If he's the only prof teaching the course, avoid.

Dr. Cheung is awesome! Very helpful in and outside of the class, though his class is certainly challenging. Give it your best effort, do the assignments by yourself, learn the concepts and you'll do fine. Highly recommended if you actually want to learn finance. If you want to be spoon-fed and just learn how to use a financial calc, look elsewhere.

He's pretty overrated. Nice guy, cares about teaching you something, but hard to listen to. His assignments are a good reflection of what the midterm and final are like, so study the assignments. They're maybe 40-60% identical to the actual test. Don't just copy the answers, actually learn the concepts. He's a little tricky.

What a bad prof. He is very entertaining but he didn't teach me anything that I need for the exams or assignments. Won't even help students. He actually says: "do you understand? If not, just pretend that you do." Who says that? A bad prof, that's who.

There is no doubt that Professor Cheung is one of the best Finance teachers at the University, but if your the type that is taking his course to improve your grade look some place else.. Assignments and Exams are Hard.. his own textbook is amazing.. Do the assignments yourself and you will do well in the exams. IF you copy you will fail period..
