Comment:

Professor Jackson is great, I've had her 3 times now! She makes what your learning simpler and really just walks you through it. She gives you homework problems on mymathlab so you do need the access code, but you don't need the physical textbook unless you'd prefer that. Her exams are easy because she doesn't put any "trick" questions on them.

The way this class is taught she makes it easy to understand, so I'd definately would recommend coming to class, you don't really need the book but the online homework really helped prepare for each exam. As far as teaching , she is very easy going , a little impatient at times, but worth taking the class, easy easy A.

Comment:

Best math professor for alg and stats, uses point system. Drops one test, take her if you hate math. Very caring and answer friendly. My Math Lab counts as a test grade (easy A). Very email friendly too! Take her if you have the chance! She's the best math professor for a lazy math hating student, just apply yourself to get an A!

Prof Jackson is a really great prof. She knows exactly what she's talking about. Your grade is solely based off your tests and final exam, but she does drop the lowest test grade. She's a little impatient at times so pay attention when she talks. The class is tough but she's a great teacher.

She is the BEST math teacher in the school. She is clear and always straight to the point. Go to class, listen, and pass. It really is that simple. She has a ton of office hours. Take her if you love OR hate Math. She will make learning painless.

The online class uses a program that paces independent learners well enough. The on-campus final, which determines if you pass or fail the class, didn't have any surprises, and was graded on the spot upon completion. Very kind professor, helpful and patient, and wants students to succeed. Responds promptly and courteously to e-mails.

Literally the best math professor at CCC. Lectures are very straightforward and clear. Take her while she's available!! Wished she taught applied calc, because there isn't another professor that would come close to her.

Take her for STAT. All her exam questions are in the quizzes. You have 2 easy 100s (online HW and a take home test) and you can get and about 20 points of extra credit. If you have a problem with the material she will go over it. Just ask. Oh and she responds to her email within minutes. Take her!

I took statistics with another teacher over the summer and had to drop the class because it was too fast paced and incredibly boring. Professor Jackson makes stats interesting enough to want to pay attention. I like her teaching style, she gives you all the tools you need but I just wish she would spend more time reviewing the problems.

Professor Jackson cares about her students and wants you to succeed. Be sure to listen in class. Make sure to do all the homework and ask her any questions you may have in class. There are many different math equations and different ways to work the calc so be sure to attend every class so you don't miss any steps! Study her handouts!

Prof. Jackson was easily one of the best. Begrudgingly took a Sat. morning class to have her as the prof; totally worth it. She makes stats seem almost easy. She only teaches what you need for the test, so the class isn't overwhelming. Lectures are straightforward and easy to understand. She's always available for extra help and offers extra credit

Prof. Jackson is amazing. She goes over one topic each class meeting. She teaches you exactly what you need to know, and tosses any extraneous information. She assigns a small assignment each night (completed in class), and projects every week during the second half of the semester. There are only two exams. Went at a good pace for a night class.

Professor Jackson can be rough (she snapped "just wait!" when a student asked a question). She also takes forever posting final grades. With that said, she's the best college level math professor at CCC. She wants to help students succeed. She's always available during office hours and even had an extra final exam review. Dr. Jackson streamlines the learning experience. She teaches what's important and cuts the useless stuff. Very personable & approachable, makes learning easy and enjoyable. Exams are easy if you follow the lecture material, if you understand her mini-quizzes and reviews. Two in class exams, one take home, plus final. My Math LAB is extra credit!!!

Professor Jackson for Statistics was incredible! She has made the lessons much simplified from the book and answers all questions and will even meet with you if needed. She is really good at what she does and she is really fair. Highly recommend - she is awesome and best math teacher I ever had!! :)

Kelly is the best Math Professor I ever had. She made lectures bearable and was easy to understand. This was my third time take stats but the first time I truly understood what I was doing. You don't need to buy the textbook, everything is pretty much taken from her website. I didn't purchase the textbook and still got an A. Highly recommend.
