He is a very friendly nice guy with great taste in boating shoes. He LOVES his subject. To do well on the exams, go to the REVIEW sessions, because all the answers are basically given for the study guide. Study the study guide and you will pass the exam. Lectures can get boring, but get more interesting towards the end of the class.

Professor Bruland is a wonderful professor. Clearly passionate about teaching and the oceans, and really knows his stuff. Truly helpful TA's and overall a great professor. Good way to satisfy the Q requirement and very fair exams. Excellent class!
