Cooper's a great guy, very suburban dad. Pretty chill about late work (I got an A- on a major paper that I turned in late). But there's just too much work. You have to get like 9 books and have a new one read each week, along with a short response paper. It's certainly not difficult work, just dull and repetitive. As long as you do it you'll pass.

Professor Cooper is a great professor. I thoroughly enjoyed his class and he made each and every lecture fun and interesting! We had three five-page papers to write on the novels we read and I know that I would have gotten an A if I went to see him more for office hours because he is very approachable and really cares about his students.

Ken Cooper was easily the best professor I've had. He's an overall interesting person. He is easy to have a conversation with and takes the time to get to know his students. One of the smartest people I have ever met. He gives great feedback and helps you become a better writer. I highly recommend!

Hands down my favorite professor at Geneseo. He's very approachable and makes class fun and interesting. This was my second class with him, and I'm taking his class again next semester. Seriously, if you can, take one of his classes before graduation. Very chill atmosphere and interesting discussions; office hours are very helpful.

Took his 70's film class, half of the films are awful. For response papers write about how you feel, he grades each with a check, +, or -, to "reduce letter grade anxiety", but this grading scale only made me MORE anxious! Research paper is worth 35% of your final grade! Confusing lectures, struggled to break a "B", he's just okay at best.

I took his Pynchon class and loved Dr. Cooper as a person. I think he's a great guy, very kind and understanding, definitely knows what he's talking about. But there is TOO MUCH reading. Cooper does a good job ATTEMPTING to make this as easy as possible. But I found this was WAY above what I'm capable of. The reading level is impossible.

I loved Professor Cooper's class. Easily the most interesting professor I've had yet. I get where others are coming from regarding his lectures (you gotta focus or else you'll get lost), but damn I learned a lot. Really admire him as a person and professor. Super flexible about essays (I wrote a personal narrative!). Go to his hours for essays!

Cooper is funny and a nice guy but impossible to follow. There were only two essays and a final for the class so it's incredibly difficult to raise your grade if you mess up. The lectures are incredibly dry and it's difficult to participate. He often goes on tangents and I could rarely understand his message or point. I wouldn't take him again.

Cooper is a great guy, I don't doubt it. And he cracks great jokes and has clear dad-humor. However, his teaching style is confusing and vague. We are reading 9-10 books and often it is difficult to particulate in discussion. Confusing teaching style, seems all over the place, but offers his help. I probably won't take his class again.

His lectures a little dry, but it's a 400-level class. He seems to be passionate by what he's teaching and has really good dad-humor (haha!) He was always there for me when I needed him, but his papers are a bit lengthy! Make sure you get a head start on them. Group projects were essential to the class. But no exams - just papers.

I can't believe Cooper's rating isn't higher. He is easily one of my favorite professors on campus. I went to his office hours countless times just to talk with him about the class because he's such an enjoyable person! Highly recommend his 70s class. The movies are good if not interesting and the discussion days are great.

I don't know why people think Cooper is boring--his class was always very engaging and very interesting. It's refreshing to take a class where the professor's instructions for the papers is: "write something interesting." Love him.

Cooper is excellent. He's the first professor I've had who is a genuinely nice guy, without pretension or arrogance. Go to his office hours, just to chat- it's awesome. The class is pretty easy; two essays and some responses to the books, all of which are interesting. HIGHLY recommend- a class on comic books? Where could you go wrong?

Ken is wonderful. I took my INTD with him fall of my freshman year, and even though I am a chemistry major, I really enjoyed his class. Walden is a bit dense, but he goes over the readings in class. Read the book and listen in class, and the papers shouldn't be a problem. He's also great about proofreading etc during office hours. Great professor.

This class is the best class I've ever taken! Cooper was engaging and intelligent. He's really into sharing ideas and he wants to see you excel. It's not an easy A, but it's not an impossible one. You have to be doing no work to fall below a B. I have a tremendous amount of respect for him and if you get the chance you should defiantly take him!

He is an awesome dude. The readings are difficult at times but he talks a lot about them in class to clarify things. There are only 2 essays, and he's a fair grader. He's also really funny, if you have to take Amrican Lit, take it from him! :)

Cooper is laid back, easy-going, and interested. his classes are typically centered around an idea he's been brewing over the course of his career... so at times it's hard to get on the same page as him, but overall, he's very accessible and open-minded. he does guide lecture, but thats to be expected, he's a professor. i recommend him.

I'm an American studies major, and taking this with Prof. Cooper was horrible, he did not teach it to the specifications of what the course is supposed to be, which was interdisciplinary. He did not understand that none of the students had seen the films as many times as he had, and had formed opinions that left no room for students ideas.
