Very understanding/friendly outside of class. Tests are hard - you have to really study/do practice problems! but there's a research paper at the end to help you raise your grade.. lectures move quickly

Mills is a great man and is the reason I am a chemistry major. This man loves what he is doing, knows the subject well, and teaches it enthusiastically. I took AP Chem in high school and was a pretty bad student, but this class WILL teach you what you need to learn very well. Without a doubt the best intro professor to take.

Prof. Mills is a very smart man and a great professor. I struggled a bit with his tests, but the other aspects of the class really saved my grade. He assigns weekly problem sets, and has a weekly quiz which, if you do well, can help you out in the grade book. Our final project was great, and really opened my eyes to how Chem is used in daily life!

Mills was an excellent professor, and his use of the ipad for class notes really helped. His handwriting is awful though. His tests are fair, and he is helpful during office hours. This class had to be the most work out of any classes I have taken, but I really enjoyed it! Take the class if your interested, but be prepared to work!

I had him for a Montserrat so he was really laid back and he got into the class on a personal level. Notes are printed out. He mostly wants to get to know his students and see them succeed. Assignments are very clear and given well in advance.

Definitely the best educator Ive had at Holy Cross. He is very clear and to the point in his teaching. He spends a significant amount of his time making sure his students understand chemistry. Furthermore, he knows a lot about the subject. Take this professor if you get the chance.

Had him last semester for A&M with some knowledge from AP Chem. I got through the class only attending lectures and doing the practice tests he posted online. His lectures are very clear and the test is mainly just examples from lecture or a little bit of application. Very approachable and friendly :) Will try to take him again for IER!

KMills is without a doubt the best prof I've had at HC in my two yrs here. His main concern is that his students are able to succeed. Great in office hrs and really tries to get to know his students. Tests are straightforward and you always know what to expect. Very approachable and very helpful in guiding students toward future opportunities at HC

Professor Mills is a really nice guy but when it comes to explaining the material to students he can be very unclear. Hard tests, and rarely went over multiple problems in class about how to do material. If you learn by example do not take this course, you basically teach yourself and by the help of your friends/classmates.

Prof Mills was THE best science professor I've had so far. Not only is he a great prof, but he's one of the nicest and most approachable guys you'll meet at HC. He made Chemistry very understandable. Always available in office hours for help in Chemistry--or even advice on future courses. Big asset to Holy Cross--we're lucky to have him here.

Prof. Mills is a really nice guy. His test tend to be a bit difficult but they're not impossible. Utilizes class time much more than the text and is very clear. Cares about students and their feelings in and outside of class. Wish I got to know him better. Read nothing, went to class & got a B.

Mills really brings the level of chemistry down to an elementary language so it is really easy to understand. He is very helpful in office hours. If you work hard in the class then its easy to get an A. I never studied until the final and I got a B+ for the course
