The material itself isn't hard its just a LOT of memorization. She has taught at higher levels (med students) and has a high set bar. Can come off condescending. Three exams set up as stations. You have 3ish hours for lab but you only get 30-60 seconds at each station with no revisiting or time after to think or correct spelling.

i had hogarth for bio 221 and 427, she is a really tough grader and she expects a lot from her students and makes you work. however, she knows the material extremely well and is willing to help. although it is a tough class it is worth it as she teaches the material very well and is a very respected professor. you will learn a lot in this class

I came in thinking I had a good chance of getting the grade I wanted from having some previous knowledge on anatomy but Professor Hogarth makes it almost impossible to pass the class. She has roughly 80 slides per lecture and flies through them leaving you no choice but to go back and learn on your own. Would not recommend and wish I knew.

I personally love Professor Hogarth! I think a lot of people don't like her because she does move quickly through lecture and she's a tough grader. But she is more than willing to help and she makes herself available to her students. I had her for lecture and for lab, and this class was the only one I got an A in all semester!

I haven't gotten my final grade yet, but I'll be honest right now I have a C-. Honestly, this class is not hard just challenging. She's a good professor that actually knows her stuff. Ask questions. Go to class. Read the book. Go to review sessions. You'll do well.

Most difficult class of my college career, but also the most rewarding. This course proved to me that I am capable of buckling down with study habits, as well as truly understanding concepts. I would take this course over and over again if I could. I have great study guides I wish I knew how I could share

Hardest class I have ever taken and probably will ever take. Don't plan on passing unless you already know anatomy in depth. Tests are impossible, especially the final. Wish I could have taken any other anatomy professor instead of her, but I didn't have a choice. Half the class drops, and then half of the people left fail. Do not take her.

Dr. Hogarth is the most intelligent professor I have encountered. If you want to know what med school is going to be like take her class. If you are not going into medicine I recommend taking someone else, as the detail is not needed. The final exam was utterly impossible to get an A on, but aside from that its possible to get an A

Skim the chapter prior to the class. Take notes as best you can in class. Review notes, and power points after class. About two weeks before the exam begin developing a study guide, breaking down each concept. She will answer your questions! Go to peer tutoring, the tutoring center, or get a study group together. This class is a big time commitment

her lecture is really fast and hard to follow but she is willing to answer your questions and make you understand the material. would recommend reading her study guide and her power point doesn't really help help since it is directly off the text book.

A&P is a difficult course on its own. If you are already taking a heavy course load, I would not recommend taking this professor. She does not make the material more difficult than it already is, it's just that she goes through the material so fast. However, she is the most knowledgeable professor I have come to know. Talk to her, she'll help.

An intelligent person however a horrible professor. Powerpoints directly from textbook, no effort put in to actually teach the material. Talks about every minuet detail instead of bigger picture. It doesn't matter if you're a great student or not, taking this course with this professor is setting yourself up for failure.

A&P 221 is very difficult however she goes through the lectures so quickly there is no time to hand write notes literally. Need to bring computer to follow along with powerpoints. Gives extra credit pop quizzes that do not count against you. Had to withdraw retaking again with another professor.

She is one of the most knowledgeable professors I have ever had. She's a very smart woman. A&P is hard, clearly, but she has no sympathy to the fact. Yes, she does pop quizzes, but the points gained are for extra credit, you can't lose points here. Three exams & a final. Format: MC, fill in the blank, and short answer. PPs are uploaded to Bb.

Dr. Williams-Hogarth is an extremely intelligent woman and a horrible teacher. Her lectures are literally the textbook. Memorization of every detail in the book is expected. She is not fit to be teaching anatomy.

Truly the hardest and most unhelpful professor I've ever taken a class with. She gives no guidance towards what to study and the tests are extremely tough-especially in comparison to other A&P teachers. A&P is hard in general, but she makes it even harder. I would recommend everyone stay away from this class.

Moves very quickly through power points with roughly 70 slides each, gives pop quizzes worth almost nothing, gives study guides that do not actually give you the info that you will need to know for the tests, recites the text book word for word, tells you to know "everything" when asked what is needed to be known. grades hinge on 4 very hard exams.

She is defitnetly a hard proffessor with little help. She speaks in monotone, her ppt slides have so many information it barely helps you. I had to withdraw. If you can find a better a&p proffessor please do! This is one of those teach yourself classes, and the class is already hard enough!!

I only had Williams-Hogarth for lab. She was very straight forward and told you everything you needed to know. If you don't study, you won't do well but that is how goes it is for any bio teacher. I thought she was approachable and fair. First practical was definitely the easiest and the last one was the hardest. Overall, I really liked her.
