Awesome Professor, extremely easy grading system. Grading Depends on how well the class does. In my class an A was a 84% He tells you whats going to be on the test. Labs are done in groups. Definitely recommend this course.

Ken is one laid back teacher,homework that are given out are simple and can be turned in when ever before the test of that subject. But, he's not clear on what you should do in his class. Asking him, Ken will only give you minimun assistant or will tell you to look in the book which i only used twice my entire time and it cost me $100 bucks.

Ken's exams are fairly hard despite him ACTUALLY explaining to you what is on the exams and even some answers! Although attending is not mandatory, there are plenty of labs to do, so show up. Your grades are weighted upon both your labs and exams and even if you did badly on your exams, doing good on the labs will help ALOT. Lab book is MANDATORY!

Loved this teacher. He really knows his stuff. It may take you a while to warm up to him, but he is willing to help, lenient on assignments, doesn't really care if you are in class or not (you paid for it, if you don't show and get a bad grade, no one to blame but yourself). We never used the book at all, lectures were informative. Great Teacher!

He knows what he is talking about. Very lenient about assignments. Very difficult tests, class averages for tests are D/F's. The labs are very laid back. He will not put up with ANY crap from students. Doesn't care if you show up or not. Never use the textbook. I would recommend him as long as you are willing to shut up and show up to class.

This man is incredible and very willing to work with you if you don't understand a concept and explains it to you very well. He doesn't take crap from the students who choose to good off. Wonderful instructor.

I had this man for a majority of earth science courses. He is the single reason I am now an Environmental Scientist. I am now in my senior year at a different school, but the impact he had on me was nothing but positive. He is not for everyone, just like every other teacher, but give him a chance I think he is worth your time to take a class with!

Awesome instructor. The tests are a little hard, especially the final, but everything's graded on a curve except the labs. He doesn't care if you come to class. "you paid for it, if you don't come that's your business." If you have a question he will answer it thouroughly. I don't know what pepople are complaining about, if you care, so does he.

Mr. Weide appears to hate this class as much as his students. This personality defect does not make for what I consider to be a good trait for a teacher, especially considering how expensive college is these days. He made me hate science.

Weide is a very intelligent man. He puts as much effort into his class as his students do, which is usually very little. No BS with this guy! He'll tell you how it is.. I like that. Reviews were not as helpful as they coulda been and his tests were pretty hard. But like any class, GO EVERY DAY AND STUDY YOUR MATERIAL AND YOU'LL DO GOOD.

I took meteorology with him, and it was a fairly easy, interesting class. He grades on a curve, and lets you keep your tests to study for the final. He was a nice guy, and knew a lot about the subject. I definitely recommend this class! I did not take the lab, so I don't know what it's like.

Weide has a wide array of knowledge in the science field. His light/playful sarcasm is entertaining and the way he teaches each unit is easy to follow. I enjoy his stories and examples he uses so the class can understand the lesson better. Altogether Weide has made learning science a great experience at Century College

Natural Disasters - horrible course! i read the reviews on this site and figured he'd be a good prof to take, NOT in this case. i not only feel ripped off from my money for taking this class, but loss of valuable time. basically he doesn't care about your grade. he thinks school is a joke to everyone. some of us actually care. what a jerk!

He tells the class on the first day that it is ok to get a D. He is often rude and sarcastic to students who ask questions. He displays a loss of interest in teaching the material is not engaged in the class. He doesn't go into detail and and relies on movies to teach the class instead of his experience. Nothing hands on at all. 60% movies.

In Natural Disasters he was terrible! Very unclear of what we should study, gave us a hard time when we needed help, his reviews were mostly useless before tests because he really didn't review anything. He told me to "go find the answer from one of my classmates" when I went to HIS office for help once. He obviously hates teaching this class.

Intro class. This is a VERY cool guy. Down to earth. Sense of humor! Honestly values more that you LEARN than that you are perfect. WILL ANSWER ANYTHING - A DOZEN times if you need him to. Doesn't expect you to love the material or be good at it. Stories to tell too...you will love him. Not easy but a fun class:)
