I LOVED this class. It was a lot of discussion and a lot of people had interesting things to say. One thing I didn't like was when people started getting really out of hand, Ferguson would just sit and watch and it bothered me that he wouldn't step in. But other than that, I miss this class soo much! It was great, I would take it again.

At first I took the class because it seemed easy enough, 1000-level course. But then I realized that I had a lot of work to do. A lot of readings, you definitly want to stay on top of that. Take notes, highlight quotes in your books, it will help you when you have to type your papers. It doesn't hurt that he's a hottie too!! :)

He is an awesome professor. He really knows what the topics are and buying the book is important because we will use them for the daily class discussions. Its great to take notes and record quotes for your paper. Its very important that you attend every class but if you don't make sure to at least read for the next class. He calls on people to talk

He was an amazing professor! I really liked his style of teaching he tried to get you to think and not cram info into your head and tell you to memorize it. I feel like I learned the most out of his class. Don't gimme wrong you have to put a little effort into it. But If you like reading and dont mind a few analytical papers then go for it.

awesome teacher! by far the best class taken this year. he does assign ALOT of reading, KEEP UP WITH IT. most of it is pretty boring, but some is interesting. his only grades are three papers. the first two are 6 pages, and the final is 10. they are veryy challenging, but an amazing class if you're willing to do the work.

Really hard and really interesting. We had to cover a broad range of social science seminar topics, but all of them had to do with food. Final project was too big and too long (20 pages!), but the class discussions were never boring and the books were interesting. wish I could have had more classes like this before senior year.

I hated this class!!! It was an intro to Int'l Studies and he decided to have discussions all semester about the war in Iraq. Does he know that there are other topics that go under "international"? Not to mention the discussions seemed to have to direction at all. EXTREMELY narrow-minded class for an international classification! Grades strictly!

This class isn't difficult, if you can keep up with the mass amounts of reading. I felt this class should've been a Gordon Rule course, since the papers assigned seemed rather lengthy for a course this level. Also, make sure you attend regularly, if you don't you WILL fall behind(he checks role too)

he's one of those few professors who leaves a lasting impression on a student. very knowledgable, motivated, and just plain nice. he actually remembers his students. i visited him a year after class and he knew me by name and face. cant say that about most. and he's cute as hell. added bonus :)
