I hated history until I took Barclay's class. He knows his stuff. It was a Hard A to get but its possible if you attend class and take good notes. There is no homework but you do have to study for the tests. All of the tests are essay with few multiple choice but its easy if you attended class. Great teacher! and great class!

i never lost motivqtion to go to class on wednesday nights. he reminded me of a woody allen teqching history because hes got the accent is is pationate bout the stuff. he made me want to know more about history, simply awsome man.

barclay is awesome! i took his class at 7 am and he is the only teacher that could keep me awake and learning with his enthusiasm. he's intelligent, funny, and easy to listen to and it's easy to learn. but you have to attend his class.

Seriously the best teacher I have had this year. History not being my best subject or being appealing was completly gone after taking this class. He is by far the BEST teacher in history and very helpful and funny too.

Mr. Barclay is a fantastic teacher! He is very passionate during lecturing which helps it stick. If you go to class and take notes you will get an A. Honestly I didn't even buy the book and I still got an A. He has a very unique, but cool system of how he does tests. Great Proffessor!

Dr. Barclay is the best history teacher I've ever had! I had him for the Wed night class and it was the funnest class ever! He's got awesome stories and is really interested in teaching and us as the students! He goes on tangents about when he was our age, and he teaches at Cal Poly which means we're getting a University education at Cuesta for practically nothing! I would've taken him again and again for the other history classes but I moved :( Grading he's not too easy you've got to know your stuff.

he is the sweetest teacher ever. He is absolutely caring and wants you to get a good grade. His stories are the best and hes so passionate about what he does that you can just feel it when he speaks. He also helps you outside of class because he works at Cal Poly... so if you need help figuring out cal poly stuff.. hes great to go to

Really great teacher! I had no desire to take history and I ended up loving it. He's extremely helpful and never gives homework. He also gives you the test questions a week before the test. Grades only on tests, so if you aren't a good test taker, you may need to give it a little effort. Awesome teacher!
