One of the better professors at CSUN. He truly cares about his students and wants them to understand the material. Lectures are really informative, enjoyable,& he does his best to make it relatable and entertaining. Grade is the midterm and final exams, kinda difficult but if you pay attention you'll do fine. Highly recommend I'd take him again!

Chapman is genuinely such a kind-hearted man. He tries every class to make jokes to uplift his lifeless students. He tries very hard to be repetitive and help us learn what will be on his exams. He curves heavily so as long as you go to every class theres no reason you should not pass. Graded off 1 midterm 1 final 2 small hws.

Class consisted of 1 midterm, 1 final and 2 homework assignments. Exams weren't difficult especially since he used several class sessions going over previous exams. Just pay attention on what he expects on the essay section and you will do fine on the exam. He really does try his best to see everyone pass especially since he curves both exams.

He is one of the few decent econ prof at CSUN. While most of the old econ prof at csun thinks like they are the smartest guy in the world, he is a down to earth, nice guy. He does not go off the topic a lot unlike most of the old econ prof who think their personal talk is worth the student's time and money.

Econ 308 is pretty boring so he tries to make the class fun, but even then i found myself clock watching. Great guy and wants everyone to pass. Test Are kinda difficult and his notes dont give great descriptions. You should pass if you do the assignments and pay attention in class

Econ 308 is different economic course from other Econ courses. The material of EcON 308 is boring , but he makes interesting and funny. He is very kind, calm and respectful professor . He is grading curve and cares about his students. No extra work just two easy home works that it worth 10 % of grade.

Not worth taking his class. He is never clear about what is considered an A, B, C etc. Rushes and doesn't answer questions clearly. The Midterm was 3 weeks before the final and everyone failed. He's never clear about what he expects and didn't do a review before the final. Very frustrating, you never know where you stand in the class

The most important thing is to get a good group. If you know that you are in the same class as others you want to work with and let him know prior to the beginning of the semester, he may let you form that group.

He's a really nice guy. Very helpful and willing to answer questions. He definitely eased some of the pain of the Gateway experience. That being said, he's a bit of a hard grader. Overall, I'm glad I had him and I wouldn't hesitate to take a class of his again.

Really depends on your group. A lot of work. Recommend putting together handouts covering the LDC concepts ahead of time to ensure you're including everything. Grading based on group first then grades up or down based on individual performance. Very helpful and not too picky on statistical or accounting methods. B

His midterm wasn't that bad, you should read the book. The final was hard. He curves, which is great. I recommend his to everyone. He is very funny and entertaining.

Teacher was fair-Class was horrible-They do not call it a gateway to hell for nothing. He is very clear and will give you direction for the projects. However I would encourage talking to him during his after class hours-Because he will answer your quesitons and its good that he knows who u are in the class.

I stressed the ENTIRE SEMESTER with this class! We were all so scared about not passing the entire time. My group averaged C-, C, and a few B- on our group cases and we all passed the class with a B. He makes you feel like you will fail though! And be prepared to fight and argue with group members. You won't have time for a real life!

This professor is the hardest grader i have ever met at CSUN. Grade not fair! All you have to in gateway class is getting along with the group and doing good work on the case study. He never directly answers the question. Do NOT take him!
