He is not clear on what he wants at all. The textbook is irrelevant, and he is pompous. Yes this class is easy because you don't have to work; however, I barely learned anything in this class. He spent an hour explaining using a hard copy day planner. Really?

He expects a lot from students, but I learned a lot from him. I recommend taking this class with Prof Blewett. He explains his materials very well and you can get a lot out of his lectures. He outlines his assignments so you know what to expect taking the course. Quizzes are pretty easy!

This class should have a drinking game, every time he mentions Washington Water Power everyone should take shots. This class is a joke, he is a smart man, but he is so lonely. He talks and talks because his students are the only people in his life. I have taken nothing away from the PR series and I do not feel prepared for the professional world.

Great prof. He's a bit random at times, but he eventually gets the point across. All material is available online and the lectures are easy to follow.

Easy class. Never really knew what he wanted or expected, but got 100% on all assignments. Has a lot of extra credit opportunities so there is really no way you can't get a good grade!

he tends to be a little pompous at times.. sometimes he knows what he's talking about.. sometimes he doesn't. He's helpful if he likes your style of writing and definitely picks favorites. Positive: he's the only prof. i've had so far that has not showed up to class occasionally

When I graduated I was so far ahead of my PR peers at my first job. SteveĆ¢€™s approach went well beyond basic PR practice and focused identifying and overcoming real pr challenges such as paradigm shifts and problem solving. He is one of the best.

He's not the best teacher in the world. He doesn't tell you what he wants, and then when he does, he grades you down on it because you "did it wrong" (after he told you to do it that way). He's very unclear, but he's sometimes a fair grader. He gives you a chance to rewrite some of your papers...so that's good.

I'm sure Blewett means well, but he is incapable of delivering a relevant, organized lecture. His assignments and quizzes feel more like busy work, and the Essays assigned serve only to critique grammar. While I have learned how to "jump through hoops," I still have no idea how to practice PR.

After being out of school for several years, I am still astounded by the lack of relevant information taught in these classes. It is a continual disappointment to me that I cannot get a refund for this waste of time. Current students beware: when you get into the professional world of PR, you will discover that you are seriously lacking skills needed to succeed. To save yourself, take as many classes as you can in interactive communication tactics and make sure you learn web design. Good luck.

I still always managed to get a 3.6-4.0 in his classes. I don't think he favors men because a lot of my guy friends in the class did worse then my female friends. However, what he teaches is not what you'll ever use. He is very outdated and I feel lost after graduating. I'm scared to go get a PR job right now because I don't feel that I'm very trained as far as what I learned in class.

This man has been out of public relations for far too long and is not current at all. He favors men, is condecending, pompus, rude and a waste of my time and money. To succeed you must play by his rules, which are vague and constantly changing and don't expect him to answer your questions as he will just get upset and yell at you. Beware

If you know what you want going into Blewett's classes you can pick up lots of tips. If, however, you are just trolling you might not catch much. I was not impressed with the texts.

Professor is a pompus ass who always thinks he is right no matter what. All he knows how to do is grade grammer, lectures are useless and unorganized and the notes on blackboard are 20 pages of unformatted crap. DON'T buy the book, you won't use it. If you are majoring in journalism, switch schools.
