He's a nice guy and is pretty knowledgeable and excited about his subject. He grades a little harder than you might expect when you first meet him, and he has a tendency to ramble sometimes. But overall a good professor

Dr. Hoffman takes digital photography wayyyy too seriously, and grades retardedly. You can have the exact same answer as the person next to you & he'll mark you wrong for absolutely no reason. If you're looking to take a fun elective, don't take digital photog. <3

I absolutely love Hoffman. Took him for Digital Photog, and Intro to Multimedia. He is the sweetest, nicest, funniest professor ever. Grades easily, gives tons of help, assignments are easy. Take him! He's the best.

He takes this class way too seriously for an intro. His grading sucks, there's no clear policy he just gives you whatever he feels like at the moment. He is helpful but he goes really fast and expects you to come in a lot outside of class to work on assignments. Don't take this class unless you have to.

I dunno what the person below did in class, but if you try hard to learn the program you'll do fine. Yes grading is a lil shaky but he is helpful. always helps out people, some more then others but thats the student's fault for bein a hog of him. I'd take him again.

He is one of the worst professors in SHU's Communication Department! His grading is unfair, he doesn't provide much help unless you're one of his 'favorites', and he speeds through everything. It's like he forgot that this is an intro class. Will not take him again.
