Rob is an amazing professor, however, his parapro ruins the entire class and while I have completed several photo classes with A's, I have also left 2 classes unfinished because of the parapro.

Rob is a great photographer and knows what he is talking about. If he doesnt know the answer to your question hell get back to you the next class. If you miss a class he video tapes the lecture and puts it online.

Rob is AMAZING!!! Ive taken him for the majority of my photo classes and I always check to see if I can take the class with him first. If you put in at least a little effort hell do as much as he can to help you. His history of photo class is really cool because hes met a lot of the photographers covered in class. I HIGHLY recommend him!

Actually this class is a breeze. No real instruction, just show and tell. just show up and produce something and pass. Do not expect intellectual discourse. Temper is just below the surface.

In full disclosure, I am a fellow OCC instructor. We get to take free classes so I decided to take a photography class. Rob is inspirational in the way he teaches and makes me want to be a better teacher. Put in the effort and you'll get an A.

Rob is a great professor and I am continuing in more courses with him. He really understands all of the technical aspects of photography. He is always eager to help a student and I suggest that you ask questions as much as you need to. Since Rob has so much experience, he may seem intimidating at first but really is an understanding guy.

Rob is very caring, he wants his student to succeed. He leaves at of room for creativity, the Critques that he has are there to help every student, it a way for everyone to learn. When your work is being critiqued only constructive criticism is allowed, and if your critiquing someone else work he was to try and think of way the work could better

The teaching style of this professor is a somewhat casual for my liking. I felt he was trying much to hard (to the point of desperation, really) to be liked by his students, and thought of as cool and hip. If he paid more attention to what was going on in his class, and less effort to his ego, this could be a better class. Kept forgetting my name.

Rob is absolutely amazing. I love all the photo teachers at this school but Rob was my most taken instructor. He gave amazing feedback and i definitely grew as a photographer due to it. He taught me to take risks and have fun with my shoots. (I used a lot of tarps! haha!)

Rob is an awesome guy. He knows his stuff and more importantly he loves photgraphy(film I should say), he is informative and clear. Also he is super oldschool and hates on new tech alot, its all fun though. Great class. P.S he gives good detailed handouts

Great professor! Rob is always open to questions and gives good, honest answers. He's quite available outside class. If you can't make it to class, he has previous lectures on DVD. Participation is about 90% of the grade, but it's not difficult. P.S. He's been a great head of the department for years.

Best class i have ever Taken at OCC, Rob makes the class exciting. if you go to class, take photos when he asks you too, theres no way you'll get a bad grade. also made me very interested in photography. after this class i went out and bought a $1500 dollar camera i loved it so much.

Not enough words to describe Rob's ability to teach and make the class fun. He is without a doubt one of the best at OCC. Don't waste your time taking this class with any other Professor, just wait until you can take any or all of the Photography classes with Rob. I Absolutely LOVE Rob!!! hes is by far my fav. teacher I've ever had! this man goes way out of his way to help all students, not just his own. If you really want to learn photography there is no better teacher than rob! I've attended CCS, Rob blows all there photo instructors out of the water!!! the day Rob retires will be a sad day indeed!
