the last two comments were clearly by morons who failed his course because they couldnt handle it. nobody ever claimed it was easy, but your major is BME...lutchen is one of the most organized people i know, and he challenges you to sort through the people who just can't handle it. he's not as scary as you think.

Lutchen is the best thing that ever happened to BME at BU. Our department has increased in the rankings so much because of this man. He expects a lot from students, so be prepared to work. But that's what you're here for! You learn effective technical communication in this class. It is the most worthwhile class you will take as an undergrad.

Terrible advisor - set up a schedule for me that couldn't work as he had me taking courses before their prereqs. Very condescending and arrogant. Put me to sleep in Sig and Sys and was a jerk in Sr Pro. Avoid this man as much as is possible.

Really hard teacher.. Pretends to be a harda$$ but really isn't. Try hard, put in lots of effort and you will be rewarded with a good grade. And for oral presentations, you should use all animations. And do not let Cotter grade you for orals, only go to Lutchen.

Senior Project is a VERY difficult course. Lutchen's standards are very high and you have to work very hard to get a good grade. But in the end, he is fair and if you put in the effort, he will see it and reward you. HINT: for oral presentations: Use LOTS of animation and VERY VERY few words!
