Grading is ABSURD! I am a straight A student and busted my butt in this class to only just get a C. She let us resubmit something once and when she regraded mine after I made corrections I got a lower score. She is not willing to help her students succeed and does everything she can to make you lose points.

At first I was a little nervous, but Dr.West is a brilliant woman and great professor. Her class def. prepared me for student teaching. She is also extremely nice and helpful!

She was the worst. She was incredibly unfair in grading and in the classroom. Quizzes were easy, but assignments were rediculously unfair. Shes very un-helpful no matter what you go to her for. I had her for my advisor also and she told me I will never make it as a teacher (eled/sped) because I didn't choose physics as my gen-ed bio class. Redic.

Dr. West will make you feel uncomfortable or embarrassed at least once each class. I did learn a lot. She is ridiculous with grading, I got 100's on nearly all the quizzes and the final, but ended up with a low grade in the class because she had unrealistic expectations for our lesson plans, and never taught us how to find info. for them

This woman was demanding and extremely rigid. She was horrified that I rescheduled one of my fieldwork days (I had a Dr.'s appt. and my co-op was fine with it). She made it into a huge deal, which was totally unnecessary. Oh, and her expectations for lesson plans is absolutely ridiculous.

Dr. West was a great professor, she is tough but that's because she expects you to put effort into your work and is looking for high quality results. She is also friendly, and very helpful if you ask for assistance, I would recommend taking any of her classes.

She was a HORRIBLE teacher! I was a upper level student in her ELED 100 class and she treated me like I was trash. She was rude and degrading and unless you were one of her favorites you couldn't stand being in her class!

Great prof, but hard grader. Knows her stuff and teaches very well. The grammer lessons can be hard if you aren't good at grammer, but worth learning. Rarely need the text. Quizzed aren't too hard, almost all from notes. Grades really, really hard though.

Dr. West is an amazing teacher. She definitely knows her stuff, and I learned a TON in her class. The text is easy to read, and If you spend a lot of time on your papers and presentation you will do fine. This is by far the most worthwhile and interesting class I've taken thus far. I would recommend the class to everyone!

Class was fun and sort of easy at the beginning but as the semester progressed it seemed that she graded harder and expected much more. She is an amazing teacher that expects a lot of her students. Can be very agreeable as long as you don't get on her bad side. Be prepared to discuss things in her class. Quizzes are easy just study up.

I thought she was a really good teacher. She must have loved our class, because she was always really nice to us. Look over your notes before quizzes/tests. I'm not sure why everyone has given her such bad reviews - I think she's a good professor, and I'm very picky.

I have no clue where all those comment came form. Dr West was always helpful and never degrading in class. I learned more from her than any other professor at Millersville. People need to realize that they are no longer in High school and need to grow up.
