One of my favorite profs, and one of the best in the pols dept. As said by others hes a really nice guy and makes the class environment fun. The class is great and easy enough for pols majors/minors or a relate field but I would not recommend for those who are not.

The class consist of a midterm, 2 minor assignments, a paper/ presentation and take home final. Keep up with the readings and lectures and you'll be fine. The lectures are interesting and make it easier to understand the concepts I would highly recommend him.

We didn't have to write as much as I thought. The class is very uselful in going over how to write effectively. HE gives you plenty of time to do the assignments but at the same time grades very hard. Interesting assignments. I disagree that he is cocky: he says it every day that he is facetious--don't take his jokes seriously.

Kenneth is the nicest professor in the department, but not the nicest grader though. He goes over the readings to help you understand and is extremely helpful if you come to his office hours. The midterm was in class essay format and the final was take-home. Would take him again.

He's a decent teacher. Knows his stuff better than almost any. To get an A in his class is difficult. Participate. Read everything. Also Write EVERYTHING down in his outlines. the more detailed the better.

He's a good teacher but his grading is super hard. The title "GPA breaker" definitely fits. You really have to work for your grade, or have a miracle to get a 90% or more. And it's a MUST to participate. If you don't chatter away then you're not going to get your full points. I would say don't take this class.

If you're a good reader(some of the reading was hard for me to understand) and writer, this class should be easy/decent for you. Follow his guideline and you should get a B. He's a great guy and very knowledgeable and energetic. The exam and research paper was a bit stressful. Final was take home for our fall 09 class.

He is really interesting and fun. I had this class early in the morning and it was pretty tolerable that early. He is really nice and helpful. He took time to learn everyone's names which I appreciate. He is funny and a good professor all around. The class is not too hard and he is a fair grader.

Professor Montojo is a cool cat. his lectures are all posted (usually ahead of time) online so you can just follow along with the powerpoint and take notes. his study guides were really useful and exactly what he asked on the midterm/final. kinda straight forward class. i did 1/2 the reading, studied for midterm/final and got a B. no complaints

Professor Montojo is probably one of my favorite teachers in the poli. sci. department. Definitely not an easy A, and probably not even an easy B if you are not a strong writer. But he posts all his powerpoint presentations online so you can follow along if you download them. i had to use the book a lot, studied for the final and i got a B+.

Professor Montojo is really good, he knows his stuff on international relations and political economics of the world. I highly recommend him and he is considered to be very helpful, just meet him during office hours if you have any trouble such as lectures, your paper, or a better understanding of the material. I don't believe those comments that say he doesn't give out A's. I had him for fall semester and if you do the work, go to class, take notes and study it is quite easy. Just study and pay attention..His class is easy if you make it easy..
