Pros: -gives good feedback, especially when you ask questions -very lenient when it comes to due dates -sweet person in general -lots of chances to revise your work Cons: -grades pretty harshly -lectures are boring -does NOT update canvas (depend on email for contact) -goes through lectures quickly, plus the powerpoints will not be uploaded online

He lets you rewrite HW as many times as you want until youre satisfied with your score. 3 quizzes, a few essay assignments, and in class writing assignments that counts as participation. If you like to skip class, this isnt for you cuz you wont pass. Hes well spoken and is passionate about aesthetics. Tough grader, but gives you feedback

He is a very interesting professor. His lectures are a bit boring, but super useful because they basically outline the reading simply, instead of all the confusing old English. He also grades very fairly and allows rewrites if you arent pleased with your grade.

He is very lecture heavy, and they can be a bit boring, but he breaks down the tough readings. He's very lenient with papers and quizzes - he takes rewrites and late work with no penalty. Quizzes are open-book, open note, open laptop. He has accessible office hours and sends out important info/reminders on email, always check that!

Like everyone mentions he is lecture heavy and the prompts for tests and quizzes are challenging but the necessary info is thoroughly covered in lectures and tests/quizzes are open note, open book, open internet. Best of all THERE ARE NO LATE PENALTIES for submissions. The only thing I would change about the class is that there is no canvas page.

Lectures are a little zzz, but he's ridiculously fair with papers and testing. Rewrites, extensions, openbook tests, accessible office hours, he even gives note outlines and e-mails tips! Readings can be challenging, but he literally breaks it down into bullet points for you. Fair grader, welcomes debate, thoughtful about each person's reply.

Professor Leddy's lectures put me to sleep. Yes, he does let you redo your writings, but he tends to be a tough grader. It's like you have to agree with his opinions or you will end up with bad grades on papers. He also is really confusing during lectures. Lectures are not uploaded and he does not use canvas. Good luck if you try to take his class.

He grades very leniently on homework and quizzes (allows retakes for a better grade) and his tests are open book, open classmate, open internet etc. So the only real thing you had to do was do good on the museum report, and know the philosophers well enough by the time of the tests.

Prof Leddy is really nice, he doesn't count late, you can turn in/ re-write anything at any time, everything is due the last day of class. But don't put it all off that long... The book is super boring, so just go to class, his lectures are pretty easy to follow. Minimal effort required to pass, some effort to get an A. He's easy to talk to.

Reads the lecture off of PowerPoint verbatim. Doesn't give you time to write notes, doesn't post lectures online, monotonous, by far one of the worst professors I've ever had! Would not take this class again under any circumstances!

His lectures can be very boring at times and the book Dr. Leddy assigned is hard to understand. There are weekly pop quizzes and they are just one essay question not too bad and same goes to his exams. However he grades very strict on essays but he will give you many opportunities to revised them for a good grade until the end of the semester.

Professor Leddy is very knowledgeable about what he teaches. He will grade you based on your grammar, in addition to the content of your work. If he doesn't like how you write, he will deduct points, I think it might be because he's a published author. In-class assignments, 3 HW assignments, quizzes, 1 research paper, and short essay final.

He gives out a lot of quizzes and papers. But he always gives you a second try and lets you turn it in anytime until the end of the semester. If you're a good writer, you'll do fine in the class. If not, it'll be a bit tough for you since he grades pretty hard. Overall liked the class though. Go to office hours!

Professor Leddy's a really chill guy who is clearly passionate about his subject. The class could be rather boring since it is a philosophy class, but he tries to make it interesting with occasional jokes and video clips. Participation and attendance are important. We had very little homework, a few quizzes, one big paper, and then our final.

Like many have stated, this class is super boring! But if you really pay attention, it can be pretty interesting. Get the book cos you'll need to add quotes in quizzes. Let's you rewrite quizzes, and essays until u get the grade you want. He's a bit of a difficult grader to begin with. It's a really boring class, so try to stay awake if you can

You honestly don't even have to read the books to pass. He goes over the reading material in class, so just pay attention and you'll be fine. You still need the book because he has you incorporate quotes for quizzes, but it's pretty easy. Super nice, but lectures are a little boring. Let's you turn in work late and rewrite quizzes and papers too.

Professor Leddy is very passionate about what he teaches. There are few tests, and all papers and quizzes can be rewritten for a better grade. He gives good feedback and will help if you talk to him. Concerning the lectures, if you don't think "oh God this is boring" the whole time, they're actually really interesting.

Leddy and the subject was painfully boring. The readings will be difficult if you do not care about arts...or do not care about the opinions of avant garde a holes. Do not take this class as a GE, u will regret it. If you're having trouble sleeping, just record one of his lectures and play it before u go to sleep.

literally the most BORING class ever. he lets you turn in assignments late and rewrite papers so i guess it's an easy A but the stuff you have to memorize is so boring, i had trouble memorizing it. you have to match a million names to the quotes they said, it sucks. but he's really nice, he would be good if you're interested in phil.but i regret it
