Very bizzare course layout. The textbook was completely useless and never corresponded with the course notes/audio lectures. The assignments never seemed to relate to the material covered and were difficult as hell. Yet, somehow, the exam was ridiculously easy; it was just stuff on the time value of money.

The course notes don't cover enough material to do the assignments. On top of that, the questions on the assignments are unclear and can be understood in many ways. The CD that comes with the course package is completely useless, as the prof reads the lectures directly from the notes, word by word!! Not a good DE course.

What prof? It took him 2 weeks to answer any emails. The assignments were way beyond the level of understanding explained in the coursenotes. I'm not sure if we were even given the T.a.'s email address, so there was no getting ahold of him/her either.

Stollery's course notes don't cover enough to do the assignments all the time, but he is ALWAYS willing to help by email (and writes excellent and quick responses). Compared to the assignments and the sample final exam, the final was brutal :( Overall, an interesting course and a really good prof!
