Comment:

I never needed to read, he gives you an outline for notes before he begins his lecture and covers what you will be tested on. Gives you a ten page paper at the end of the semester. Laid back class, and he was a very knowledgeable and kind professor.

Comment:

He lectures and follows an outline. He says reading your book is essential but his outlines and lectures follow the book word for word. He thinks he is hilarious and laughs at his own jokes. He is super religious and brings it up any time he can. 8:30 classes with him were the worst. I skipped a lot and still ended up with a B. His tests are hard.

Comment:

The readings are not essential to pass because he lectures over the readings during class. He makes it very clear when there will be a quiz and what it will be over, so it shouldn't be a problem so long as you study. He assigns a ten page paper due at the end of the term. He is very interesting, but can go off on tangents pretty easily.

Dr. Wise is a wonderful history teacher who really goes in-depth to make sure students understand the concepts behind the history. His classes were my favorites!

This class was a complete joke. He assumed everyone in the class was a Christian and therefore knew all the stories of The Bible, and used misogynist examples to get his very narrow point across.

Comment:

He is not boring and speaks clearly and well. Knows his Greeks and Romans but doesn't brag about how much he knows like some on the faculty who probably know less. Helpful if you ask for help. Dr. Stratton praised him the other day in class for teaching him something he didn't know about Greek and if he learns from Dr. Wise I think students can.
