Comment:

Don't be scared by how much reading his courses might demand. He makes it really managable, but it's imperitive to keep up because he quizzes. His exams are fair and always cover things discussed in class. He is very much an authority on the subjects he teaches and is always enthusiastic in class. He's among the best professors I've had here.

Brilliant in a quiet and good way. decent on the inside and knows A LOT. classroom style is not all that great but if you read and speak up nicely when not clear, he's glad to help. unlike some english profs he is not total ego but really is into the materail.

very interested and knowledgable of Shakespeare. one minus is that he lectured for 2 hrs straight in summer class. another is that he doesn't really tell you what to expect on exams. take notes on presentations and pay attention to dates and royal lineage. good professor overall. very helpful outside of class. often in office outside of office hour
