Comment:

He is a fascinating professor who loves discussion and is very helpful. Only had two grades, and if you put even some effort you will do fine. One of the best professors I have had; he lectures really well and is exceptionally chill.

Comment:

He was a great professor for my honors class. Only two grades, based on the lectures and the book. The essays require doing a little reading, but if you put in a little effort and do it before the day it is due, then you will get an A. His lectures are very interesting and he has a legitimate interest in what he teaches.

Dr Archer is hilarious. He keeps the class interesting with his randomness. Go to every class, take notes, rewrite the notes and add in facts from the book for the essays and you are good for an A.

This class is not run through an outline. He just speaks all class, and you have to take your own notes. I was not used to having a class like this, but I really enjoyed it and did well. He is funny and has a true interest in what he is teaching. You must show up to every class to get the notes and do well.

Dr. Archer is a great professor. From the very beginning, he jokes about his huuuge ego, but he is always willing to answer questions. Lecture notes are a bit sporatic, but if you go to lecture, you will have no problem on the tests or handful of homework assignments.

For Cultural Geography - Easily one of the best professors at USF (I'll leave it open that there MAY be a better one, but doubtful). Very funny guy and what the class covers is up to the class. VERY interesting lectures.. which may seem overwhelming with loads of information, but you'll get A+ if you pay attention, F if you dont take it seriously.

Easy class. I got an A. Partially online and in class. Lectures are fun to listen to and he really enjoys giving them. There are short reading assignments and short writing assignments. Make sure to go to class when it is scheduled. We really didn't do that much all semester.

This honors course was by far my favorite! Dr. Archer is one of the smartest professors I have encountered yet! I wish he taught more classes as I learned so much about the world and culture just taking him for one semester! I would definitely recommend taking him if you don't mind taking good notes and writing essays based on those notes! Easy A!!

Cultural Geography. Wow. The best class I have ever taken. You need to be prepared to go to class and write down everything he says - but he is THE BEST teacher. Enthusiastic, keeps the class super interesting. I learned more about the world in one semester with him than in my entire life of being a student. He teaches about overlooked issues.

The absolute best class I have ever taken. So informative, fun to listen to. 3 papers - very easy if you listen and take notes, he sheds light on so many important issues many are unaware of. His goal is to open your mind - and he is really great at it. Just take really good notes and you'll get an A. He doesn't stress writing technique, just ideas

This man is not the usual type 'O' professor. Does try to get you to dislike him, at first, but all he wants is a response from his class. He needs tension to function, he loves to make you think and wants you to express your thoughts. You will write a lot of notes, which you will need for the two reports. Take him, you won't regret it.

This was Global Conservation, You just write essays, 5, 7, 12 page essays. Helps to be in class, i dont think he reads the papers, just checks if you wrote the required amount. Guy tries to fool you, wants you to dis-like him. Smart guy just not as smart as me. I'd take him again. Good professor. Bad Teacher...Think about that.

If you are interested in Global issues I highly recommend.Lectures are great.If you are looking for an easy A then look elsewhere.Requires quite a bit of writing for homework assignments, but its basically just regurgitating the notes from his lectures.I dont know what the whole political correctness issue with him is about??

I personally liked his style of teaching. He was informal, yes, but at least his lectures were not dry or boring. He is pretty funny, too! There was a paper and a test, as far as I can remember. It was pretty easy to make an A.
