Comment:

Im not sure why people are complaining when yes, it is an easy class, and an easy grade. Just attend class, do the three essays and the final exam is take home! Doesn't get much better than that. I was unsure how the final exam would be presented, but it's very similar to the essays. Prof Martin is a cool guy.

He had two assistants who were not helpful to contact. The lectures are boring and useless. Super easy grade but no benefit to actually taking the course besides a GPA boost. Do not recommend taking class. Also, the final is a take home assignment.

Not accessible outside the class. Has two assistance who do not know information about assignments (are not able to give any clarification, say to read the assignment). Boring lectures. Crappy assignment explanation (very broad). Doesn't actually read papers. Easy grade, but I do not recommend. Good luck

DR. BOSMAN is hands down the BEST PROFESSOR I ever had! His lectures are EYE OPENING. Take this class with him, you won't regret it! The lectures are heavy but I haven't yawned once as he kept the gears in my mind turning. Be happy if your TA is Bryan Winter, he's great and they work well together. I WANT NOTHING MORE THAN TO TAKE THIS CLASS AGAIN!

The class is challenging but not impossible to pass though lectures are almost impossible to sit through. Nothing is posted on Canvas, you have to go to class if you want to know if there are any assignments. Large group project but it isn't hard. He definitely uses his right to change the syllabus also.

He's a brilliant professor and is great with his students. However this is a very heavy topic so make sure to work on your final exam immediately as this is not an easy exam and he expects multiple page essays for some of the exam questions. Though he is a great lecturer, this was not an easy topic to understand even when he explained things out.

WOW. That's all I have to say - what a GREAT professor. I wish I could have taken more classes with him. He's one of the most well-informed profs I've had. Very kind, respectful of his students, listens to us, looks you in the eye, will answer your questions fully and in an interesting way. His assignments are tough but in a good way. Five stars.

Brilliant. Very Relevant. Explains the nature and future of the economic crisis across space and time. He is a joy to listen to, and to look at. =) A must take for anyone seeking a better understanding of why our economic outlook is so messed up. MUST TAKE. Great class. Powerpoints blow you away...

He is very informed and brilliant. The class primarily revolved around what is going on in the world. The papers were a little difficult to understand and interpret what he wants, but he grades extremely easy. I took so much out of the class and am so happy that I took this class with him.

EXPERT. Approachable. Loves student interest/dialogue. Absolutely most relevant class you can take, and he is definitely the guy to take it with. Might be the only professor for econ geo, but with good reason. You won't be sorry.

Absolutely the best Professor I ever had. He is an excellent lecturer, who uses the ideas in the book as a basis, so read, duh. But he takes it into present day relevancies which are vital to student/civic success. Total expert yet approachable, loves student interest..and Hot to boot. Every student should take something he offers. 2 high thumbs up

Dr. Bosman is just not a good instructor. He's unable to separate his personal political views from the material he teaches, automatically calling everything he says into question. Also, he's frankly irresponsible, as he posted no grades for any of the 3 assigned papers and take-home essay final until after the last day of class. Avoid.

I had him for summer session, so the course was very short. He had no textbook. The only grades were 5 group essays. He rarely used all 3 hours of class time. He is well knowledged in the subject (which isn't simply learning places on a map). He does have a liberal view, but curbs it. I don't agree with everything he said but I respect him.
