Very quirky man! He's can go all over the place during a class lecture, but everything he says usually goes back to the topic. Three papers, 4 pages - not bad at all. He always gives back good feedback and lets you know what you can improve on. Lets you have extra time to to finish your paper and lets you rewrite the paper for a better grade.

Took it for the 2nd writing. First day in class, I dreaded it. By the third week, it got interesting. You read plays and then discuss them during class. Papers deal with analyzing plays, characters, e.t.c. VERY fair grader, I got B's on papers. 50% is participation thru discussion, forum posts, reading plays in class. Extra credit opp. got me A-

I took this when it was offered as his Plays to Movies class. I'd had him for Intro to Drama in the Fall and thought he was a pretty fun professor. As long as you ask for help, he will help you and in this class he only assigned three papers and one presentation project on a play turned into a movie. It was easy and I didn't read most of the books.

I love love loved this professor. The stories he chooses to read are interesting and he takes the time to insure his students enjoy his reading choices. There are three papers, but no final. There are also fun little creative exercises and he takes your top two scores.

Unless you love drama, not as easy as people make it seem. You really have to read everything in this class. Shakespeare being one of the significant playwrights, makes the class tougher. Grades papers really hard. Don't think you can wing the paper. Actually takes time or else you'll be receiving a C on it.

Kerrane is AWESOME! He's so enthusiastic. The reading material is actually a bunch of interesting short stories. I've found a lot of great reading material through his class. The class is not difficult if you do the work and he's really helpful if you talk to him about papers and stuff. Definitely recommend him. He's so nice and really awesome!

I signed up for this class just as an elective, but now it's one of my favorite class I've taken so far! Kerrane is such a nice guy and a great teacher. With the exception of 1 or 2, I really liked the plays we read. 2 exams, 2 papers, and a final. The papers are kind of open-ended, which is nice, and the exams aren't hard. TAKE THIS CLASS!

He's a really nice guy, he's pretty funny. Definitely good class to take to fill a group A. Class isn't mandatory but it's small so you notice when people are missing. There's only 3 tests and 2 papers and no final. The paper can be about almost anything. Tests are easy but make sure you actually do the readings! Take this class! you won't be sorry

Best teacher I had at UD. Engaging, funny, papers were easy but he gave constructive criticism, discussions were entertaining. Tests were pretty open-ended and easy, especially if you do the readings (although you can get by without doing them). If you are looking for an elective, definitely take.

Great teacher, tests are straightforward and he gives you examples of what will be on them. Papers are easy, can write about whatever you want. Have to post on WebCT, but it can be about whatever you want. Always in a good mood and just a generally nice guy.

I LOVE Prof. Kerrane! He is so helpful with assignments and really gets into class and discussion. He'll go out of his way to do something fun that is class related like seeing a play or setting up a film series on campus. You will read a lot in this class, but discussion will help if you miss a reading. Fair grader, great guy, awesome class!

Kerrane is easily the best professor I've had. He's clear and explanatory with grading. The readings he chose were very interesting. Kerrane is willing to work to help you learn. Some of the professors here are lazy--don't explain grades, inflexible--Kerrane is just the opposite. I'd recommend him to anyone interested in journalism.

Dr. Kerrane is the best professor I've had at the University. He's also my advisor. He will do anything he can to help students who are here to learn and get somewhere. Take Kerrane if you get the chance and take him as often as possible.

I have to be honest, the class was a little boring. The guy did have favorites. He didnt return emails very promptly. If you take him, ask him what to write about in advance, because he wont tell you exactly what he wants till you get your paper back. Overall, not too bad.
