This class is a snooze fest. Pretty sure majority of us fell asleep during his lectures. He rambles and goes on long tangents about random things. The class could have been really interesting. He also encourages talking but nobody ever has something to say because half the time you have no idea what he is talking about. Decent guy, boring class.

Professor Lewis is a great guy and he's very knowledgeable about different religions and cultures. He tends to be a tad spacey and ramble during his lectures, but just go with it. You read 5 short books for his class and write op-ed papers on the topic for the unit. There are 3 tests, all straight forward writing. Very easy and simple class.

Excellent professor. He's incredibly helpful. The class consisted of reading five books, writing five papers, and talking about it in class. No midterm and no final exam. I recommend this class.

Prof. Lewis is awesome! The class is very easy. Attendance isn't mandatory and the papers are all opinion pieces. The class was three essays, one quiz, a midterm and a final which were all very easy. I would take him again in a heartbeat.

He's such a funny guy! He is very interested in hearing about your opinions and is very open to different views. The essays were simple to write, even if the text was not always enjoyable. Take him if you get the chance.

Decent class. He's really nice and seems like a great guy. Class can be boring, and sometimes aggravating depending on the students in the class who like to jump into religious debate. He doesn't count attendance and grades pretty easy. I got an A with half the effort I put into my other classes. I learned a thing or two as well.

I wasn't much interested in religious courses, but Professor Lewis made it so that I at least learned a little bit. The two small quizzes were kinda hard, but didn't count much. He's a pretty easy grader on the papers. I'd recommend taking him if you can.

Amazing. Take him if you have any level of self-consciousness. Honest thoughts and questions are a joy to him and he sincerely loves discussing the material.

I definitely recommend taking Dr. Lewis for any religion classes. He is open to anyone's opinions and though sometimes he challenges them, he accepts your opinion. He makes you write a couple of op-ed type articles which are easy and very opinion based, and the tests are like writing three mini op-ed's...if you have an opinion its an easy class!

This class is really cool! Dr. Lewis is really helpful and allows a lot of creative freedom in papers. The readings are also good, they are mostly fairly short but a few are fairly complicated. I definitely recommend this class.

He's basically amazing. At first he seems a bit awkward, but once you learn to follow his methods of teaching, he's a really good instructor. He prefers papers written as fiction and poetry to those written as essays, etc. He's very generous with grading, and allows a lot of student involvement in the class. I intend to take more classes with him.

Dr Lewis is the man. His class changed the way I look at everything. You have to follow his thought process in class carefully to really get the intent behind it, but it's all worth it in the end. To those of you who said he was horrible, you didn't apply yourselves and it's not his fault.

Prof. Lewis is a sweet guy. The class is easy. There were two tests and a quiz. The only real work is to read some short books and do the journal he assigns. Some have said he can't communicate. He may be dyslexic, or not, he spells funny sometimes. He is not a religious elitist, though he claims to be a Calvinist. Not an jerk, and he is openminded
