Comment:

Not sure why people bash on him. I've learned the most in his classes. Read the textbook, take notes and take advantage of the extra credit opportunities he gives you, including being able to bring an index card to his tests. He is very personable and gets to know all of his students within the semester. I did all my work and ended with an A.

Professor Weiss is a great teacher ,but he does talk ALOT and FAST. i took him for criminal procedure I, you NEED the textbook to discuss the cases he assigns and you must go to class! If you go to all the classes your grade goes up from a C to a C+, Participate a lot so he knows you are trying. I failed all three exams but he gave extra credit.

Dr. Weiss is the best Law and Justice professor I've had. He is a strong presenter and does a great job in explaining the content. The class is hard but that should not be a surprise considering it is a seminar class. He is a tough grader but as long as you put the effort in, you will be fine. Take notes, read, and go to class or you will fail!

Professor Weiss, is a really smart man who knows his stuff. His class is very interesting, where you review these case briefs which discusses the 4th Amendment and its evolution. Overall his class is one of the hardest I have ever had. His essay questions will require you to take great notes; don't miss class or you will fail. He is a hard grader.

Well.....Dr weiss is a ok person but expects a lot from you as a student. He kind of lives in his own world and I think he thoroughly thinks he's a law school professor not an undergraduate professor. Tests are hard, paper was hard, go to class or you will fall behind....even worse this was an elective class....have fun if u decide to take him :-(

I took Dr. Weiss twice, the 1st time I took him for intro to courts & the 2nd time for criminal procedure I. You will learm a lot in his class but you have to read and participate in class discussions. Most of the grade is based on the tests (3 tests). I got a B- in courts class & a B in the criminal Procedure class. Interesting class discussions!

Great teacher, really relates the subject matter well. I agree that the tests a hard, but theyre not impossible. there are certain portions you have to accept that you cant do, and focus on the ones you can. If you do that you can do well. I did just that and got an A in the clas.

he's a good prof but u have to pay attention and not miss any class. 2 exams and 1 term paper that's not enought for a person's grade because his exams are very hard and if u fail it u failed the course. i like lot of work in class: hw,quizes,xtra credit and more to bring up grades if u do bad in exam. if u r like me then don't take him.

weiss was boring and annoying. he always came to class super sick and i just wanted to tell him to stay home. i had him for 2 and 1/2 hrs and he would always keep us 10 mins over!! the class was pretty hard and i ended up w/ a B, so i guess it wasnt too bad. def wouldnt wanna take him again tho!

Lots of notes! must write everything he says down. If you do that and study you will do fine. Gives you the topics for essay questions before hand to study. Easy to fail if you don't study and do readings. keeps you the whole class period. will start a new topic with 2 mins left,not kidding. Have fun, overall nice guy.
