HE IS SO FUNNY. always makes me laugh and actually enjoy class. he brings a lot of history into his lectures which really helps me understand the subject matter. always open to questions and even if you are wrong he is very supportive. he is a tough marker, but once you get used to the way he marks, its very easy to get an A

Mediocre marker who gives little feedback as to what should be improved. That being said, he's a funny guy with a lot of energy and enthusiasm which makes lectures interesting. Be prepared to do a lot of reading if you're taking his course!

He is so passionate about what he teaches that it is hard not to be as well. He's a little intense, but in a good way. He assigns a lot of reading and expects it to be done but it's not that bad. Contrary to what I have hear, he's not that hard of a marker. At least, I didn't find he was. I'm taking another class partially because he teaches it.

He's really helpful if you go see him in his office about writing your paper. But he's a hard marker. As long as you go to class and participate he's a really good prof and he makes lectures interesting and enjoyable.

I have taken as many courses as I could with this prof because I like his teaching style so much! He makes the lectures fun, while still making his points clear. I do not find his marking any more difficult than most other English Profs, and he is very good at giving you extra help or extensions if you need it.

Close minded, difficult prof. Does not want to hear ideas that contradict his own and I would go so far as to say disrespectful. Classes are very disorganized and lack depth. I did well in the class when I gave up on developing my own analysis of lit and copied what he wanted to hear..... unfortunate.

Great prof, his content can be difficult though for those who are not pursuing English Majors. Hes intelligent and quite accepting of ideas if you can back them up with textual evidence. Take his course if you are strong at English.

Every course I have taken with Whetter have been my favourite. He is so enthusiastic and interesting to listen to. In any class, and in this Medieval Lit course, make sure to keep up with the readings so you can contribute during class. He marks essay's a little tough, but fairly. Great Prof!

Kevin is amazing I enjoyed every one of his classes. He always made it entertaining and interesting. His enthusiasm is contagious. He does mark a little hard but as long as you take the time to do an extra proofread and make sure you do some research and use some quotes you should be find. I love him and plan on taking all of his classes.

He is a super funny guy who tries to make the readings interesting. He'll take the time to explain things so that everybody understands. He does say "foxy" an amusing amount of times. He is very approachable when asking for help, and willing to give input!

Engaging professor that will not only make class enjoyable(funny) but cause you to think about the material as well. He is an exceptionally hard marker and if you do not put the work into your essays you'll have a tough time pulling off a stellar mark.

He's definitely not the easiest marker, but he strives to see that all of his students excell. If you are unhappy with a grade, he's good about helping you to improve it. He let me rewrite an essay I had bombed, when he didn't have to. He's also an entertaining lecturer, likes to act this out, and say 'foxy' more than really should be said.

I disagree with all of the negative comments. Kevin is a TOUGH marker but gives every opportunity for students to excel; he's available for extra help and very flexible. An expert in his field, yet fun, understanding and willing to admit when he's out of his league. Awful fashion sense contrasts with his love for words like "shag" and "foxy". A+.

Whetter is the best prof I have had at Acadia to date, if he could teach every course I had to take I would take them from him. He is very accessable and has flexable office hours, he brings to class an unfeignable enthusiasm and strives to engage students. He always answers questions with a 'yes and no', he knows what he teaches. A total charmer.
