Comment:

The course is heavier in the first half of the semester than the last, and overall it's a fairly easy course to take. Midterm is open book, and the final is relatively easy (study reading/assignments). My biggest complaint? She doesn't have the best notes and is very slow to mark, some assignments weren't graded until 2 hours before the final.

Fantastic prof. Engaging, funny, and very interested in sustainability and food issues. I can't speak for her chemistry or other science classes, but I highly recommend this course. She baked cookies for us on the last day of class... how many of your profs have done that?

She was an awesome prof whenever you had a question. I loved her "Big Ideas" page where she pretty much explained the chapter after you read it. I really needed that some days. I think chem sucks so I wasn't as involved as I could of been, but she was definately always happy to help a student!

Awesome prof - full of energy and has a heart of gold. She kind and understanding and an extremely approachable prof. Although soil science might be a dry topic at times, she truly does try to make the material more lively.

Dr. Bolton is a great professor. She is very approachable, understanding, enthusiastic, and relatable. Ive had the privilege of being in more than one of her courses and couldn't recommend her enough. Shes not like other professors in that she is not super concerned with the tiny unimportant details. She wants you to understand the big picture :)

Next time, she should have more than one other person and herself supervising the class during the final. Or maybe it shouldn't be held in Thornborough. Either way, cheating was rampant. Just a suggestion.
