A pretty good class. Makes giving speeches in public bearable, although the final speech was a bit of a let-down, a group speech instead of an individual, for which I'd already selected a topic. Other than that, a great class which I would highly recommend.

She is the sweetest teacher ever. Her class was my favorite class this quarter. I feel like she's very open with the students. She actually takes the time to remember everyone's name unlike many other professors. It's a lot of work but it's not too hard because she is very helpful. Also she lets you do redos. Take her class! She's great! I promise.

I loved taking Speech with her. I was so afraid to take this class at first, but after 2 classes with her, I realized it would be easy. She makes the environment really comfortable.

Good professor that knows what she's talking about. She will help you but you have to put effort into it. Assignments are pretty fairly graded assuming you do your work. Many of her directions are also in her course packet. Note: You will get videotaped in her class for self evaluation assignments! Overall quality professor.

Nice teacher but her grading I thought was kind of tough. The class was overall easy but there's a lot of writing and it seems like she expects too much from your speech. She needs to understand that not everyone is a natural and most of us have jobs outside of class and cannot practice hrs at a time.

She is an ok teacher but it the class is really easy. She doesn't encourage much effort really. Choose easy topics for your speeches and you'll do fine. She left in the middle of the quarter to go to Israel which was kind of lame but overall she's allright.

I'm still at B+ in her class and I have 2 speeches and 1 self-critique left to do. I'm always nervous whenever I have to give a speech. But she smiled even though my speeches were horrible. I couldn't ask more than her encouragement. This class has forever changed me. I'm now a confident speaker, because she only asked from me one thing--hard work.

Although there are only three assigned speeches, you have to work if you want an 'A' because you'll have to do out-of-class work and at least one or two "re-do"s. She's a good teacher who is willing to help you improve as a public speaker and is very serious about giving the class a welcoming atmosphere for those who are uncomfortable.

Only the people in this class made it slightly fun and interesting. I personally learned nothing and all you have to do is make three speeches and one introduction. Simple. Strange grading style, your grade is kind of a mystery til the end. Pretty nice lady, but not a recommened teacher.

I didn't think I would have enjoyed speech this much. Ms. Pearce is a really nice person and very helpful. If you want to become a better public speaker, this is the class for you. I really learned a lot and had fun doing it. You can redo any speech for a better grade. Just do your work, go to class and you'll get an A.
