Professor Tarantino is awesome! She really cares about her students and brings in a variety of guest speakers. Two of those guest speakers actually helped people get careers in their companies. She lectures well and I wish I could take more classes with her. Just make sure to study and stay on top of the work and you will be fine!

4 exams, 10 quizzes that were once a week, 3 extra credit opportunities. Come to class because participation points matter at the end of the semester. For the exams, review all PP slides and the study guide she gives. Pay attention to calculation problems she does in class; it's not the same in the book and she puts her examples on the exams.

If a different teacher ever teaches this class take them instead. She didn't really seem to care about our class and it was obvious she had too much on her plate. Use the study guide for the exams. Covers a few things from the PP in class very generally but wants very specific answers for the exams. 4 exams, 10 quizzes, participation, etc.

This class was a challenge. Class is out of 300 pts. 2 Exams (50 pts each) and 1 cumulative final (100 pts). There are weekly quizzes, so do well on those since they add up. YOU MUST READ THE BOOK AND REVIEW THE PPT SLIDES TO DO WELL ON EXAMS & QUIZZES! Tests are a mix of MC, T/F, computation, definition, and fill in blank. She does curve exams!

The class itself is pretty difficult but she curves the exams and the homework is easy. Be prepared to read the book and study every week because there is a quiz every week. Professor Kim wants her students to succeed and brings in real world examples to try to make the class more interesting. Take her!

Prof Kim is one of your best choices for 201B! Quiz every class, 4 tests, 2 writing assign's, easy online HW, and that common final! NO CASE STUDIES! She curved almost every exam! Her tests were a little hard and on the tricky side. All MC and a few computational problems. I plan on taking her for BUAD 360 for the E&TM program in Fall semester.

First of all, you won't pass if you don't attend class. She gives one in-class quiz per week and doesn't offer make-ups of any sort. There were 4 tests and one final. They were all okay, not too difficult but not too easy. There was barely any homework--just a few connect assignments due the day of the exam and two written assignments. Take her!

4 Exams (100 points each), Final (200 points), Homework (130 points), quiz (80 points). Overall she's good. She only has one problem, she thinks she's teaching high school. The way she talks to students is like theyre not in college, it's like their kids sometimes. .

She is an expert in the Tourism and Entertainment industry. Quizzes each week based on a chapter's worth of reading. Tests include multiple choice, truefalse, and short answer questions. You will need to study and read the chapters in addition to her slides if you expect to get anything above a B. Sometimes she gives study guides, other times not

Definitely no room for slacking. Usually one quiz a week (4-5 questions) that is based off of either 60 slide PowerPoints or material from the book. I don't believe you can pass without reading the book, so buy it. Exams are multiple choice/TF/short answer & she doesn't utilize scantrons. Guest speakers were great. Participation is appreciated.

Wow, this class was a challenge! Reading the entire book is a must, because there are many things on the exams that she does not talk about in detail in class. The accounting part is all taught in class, just make sure you pay attention. If you're interested in the entertainment biz, this is a wonderful class! Very insightful!

Professor Tarantino is your best option for 201B. But if you want to do well in her class, you need to read the textbook and understand how to solve each homework problem (also, do the extra practice problems that she assigns!). The only major obstacle you will encounter is that not much time is spent on conceptual foundations.

Lectures consist of problems in the back of each chapter. Very helpful, since the concept is taught with example. I just wish she do exam-questions format more instead of book problems. Do your HW and the writing assignments. It will save you. Try your best on the 4 test, since they are shorter and easier than final. You can the bomb the final.

Never was a big fan of accounting and I dread the topic, as I am finance major. She is a really good professor. Clean cut, responds to emails promptly, lectures on important material and very patient. Study the book and listen to her lectures carefully. SHOW UP TO CLASS because you get a weekly quiz on the chapter and those points add up.

I love Kim. She is a great professor and is very friendly. Her class is challenging, mostly because I struggle with accounting and finance principles, but she is willing to help if you ask. Test aren't too hard, but definitely put in the time to study. Not an easy A, just put some effort in.

Like any Accounting class, you teach yourself. However, I didn't like her class structure at all. Attendance is mandatory, quiz every class, 4 exams and a final exam (5). She is nice and friendly but her workload is too much for a lower division class. Passed 201A with an A but I'm barely hanging on with a low B right now. Hoffman is better choice.

Kimberly is an outstanding teacher. Not only is she beautiful, but she always takes the time to stop during her lectures and asks if anyone needs help. The tests are fair and the homework assignments are helpful. I got a C in the class. SHE CURVES GRADES. TAKE HER!!!!!!!

I don't understand why Tarantino's teaching when she doesn't have time for it. She's never prepared for class and always late in posting materials on BB. 5 weeks into the semester, she decides to change the syllabus and assign us a book to buy. The actual lectures go right over the classroom's head. EVERYONE is lost and confused.

ACCT 201B - Managerial Accounting. First off, ACCT 201B is much easier than 201A. We went over power points in class and went through balance sheet and income statements. Tests were 50 multiple choice scantron questions, department final is really easy. Great teacher, wish I had her for 201A!
