I took this class in the summer from 7-9:30pm! Despite the time of day and length of the lecture, Kopotun's thorough and step-by-step approach made the material easily digestable. Incredibly fair tester who always wants the best for his students.

Really wants his students to do well: final had bonus questions, opportunity to get 120%. Final and midterms were absolutely fair, tested on what he emphasized. Not exceptionally difficult to do well in this course if you actually study.

He is clear as to what he expects from you but some questions in his midterm and final are plain torture as they're from a really abstract part of the course. His midterm and final are tricky and challenging. If you want a good grade then don't take this professor but if you really want a challenge then take it with him.

Midterm was brutal. Make sure to memorize the theories bc there WILL be a question or two based on it. This course is more than just the math. He is always available if you need the help. His lecture notes were very organized but you gotta buy them

Absolutely amazing prof. Always willing to help and explain more clearly. Did whatever he could to help his students and both the midterm and final were extremely fair.

He explains alright. He has an accent and sometimes slurres the words together but other than that is fine. His midterm was very tough. Average was 35%. He gives tricky questions and make you think about it however don't give you much time. Out of 150 students there were about 50 or less left after the midterm was done. Take only if you took calc.

Great notes, great person, extremely helpful, terrible exams. I understood (so I thought) the material, did very well on quizzes, but did not do well on exams. You need to understand the theory behind concepts more than the calculations.

Good teacher overall. Sometimes hard tests. But if you are interesting in math, it wouldn't be a problem. Lecturing fast. Friendly and humorous. Maybe slow down your pace a bit plz? Not everyone is good at math. Recommended for math majors.

I found him to be a good teacher for intro to calculus, however sometimes he could be unclear or too fast while going over things. His accent was not a problem, and I also found his sense of humour to be hilarious. Quizzes were fair and he prepared us for the final exam, however I would suggest buying Grants rather than the required textbook.

Course material is not too hard as long as you keep up with it. Although lectures with this prof are pretty useless. All he does is just write on the projector with a really bad writing, stuff from textbook. He doesn't even try to put it in simpler terms.

Hard course, went fast, didn't get through all the material. If you feel the tests are too long, ask for more time. Seriously. For final, he gave "unlimited" time, some wrote for 5.5 hours. Some had difficulty with his accent. Ask questions if you don't understand him. Friendly and eager to help.

This teacher makes tests way too hard and way too long for the time alotted. All the questions on tests or exams are challanges instead of basic testing of knowledge. Seems like a nice guy but tests are torture. Teaches things way too fast and jumps around on the black board so it's hard to follow him. Not recommended.
