Really nice guy, but may be too intellectual for those looking into the production side of ACM definitely better suited for the Critical Studies track. Because it's such a long class, it is difficult to pay attention especially considering the content. Big group project, and a take-home midterm and flnal which are basically essays. Lots of work!

What he teaches is very interesting, but he can sometimes sound monotonous and it can be hard to stay concentrated for 2.5 hours...He's very nice and approachable outside of class.

He took attendance but it's not as important as the midterm, final, and group project. No hw other than readings, which are extremely long but you need to know key concepts to cite on exams, which are take-home. They are essay format and he grades harshly, but movies we watch in class are interesting and so are guest lecturers. Very cool, nice guy.

I WORKED MY BUTT OFF WRITING PAPERS FOR THIS CLASS!!! There are no tests or quizzes, just the midterm and final paper, plus a group project. He's a harsh grader IMO. Classes are SO long, even though we meet once a week. I took this class just to fill the DH requirement. If you take this class, be prepared for long class hours and lots of writing.

Ng is a funny prof, and generally pretty interesting. Beware: there's a major group project at the end of the semester. If you aren't a team player, this isn't a class for you.

The prof really knows his material well and for an almost 3 hour class I took as a prereq for another ACM class, it wasn't too bad. You just have a take-home midterm and a take-home final, but don't get me wrong, I spent hours writing each test. There's a HIFF review you have to write and a group storyboard presentation at the end.

He's a really good teacher and cool guy to talk to. Knows his stuff and is really reliable even when you need an e-mail response for assignments at midnight the night of. The only problem is that it's hard to fully grasp what he's asking from you in the assignments, but then again he's not a really harsh grader :)

sometimes too abstract, but I think he knows what he's talking about. I enjoyed the films he selected. I heard he works at the Hon Art Academy as the film curator. he has picked some good films

Konrad was about to use interesting videos as well as good lecture examples to explain abstract concepts. The only problem I really had concerned the individual presentations. Some of the presenters were not as clear. I would have preferred he explain it.
