Not a fan. Found her slightly annoying, she kept saying "oh, that's interesting" or "I never thought of that" when listening to others' opinions. I wouldn't recommend her to anyone.

Great Professor. The only negative comment I can make would be about how much time it takes for her (TA's?) to return assignments. And yes, she's very hot, I would marry her in a second if she'd have me.

I went into this class being so excited and came out questioning why I took the class with her. She spends too much time on irrelevant details and not enough time on important aspects of the book. It takes her months to get back assignments/final/midterm marked. Although she is willing to help you could probably find a better prof.

Decent prof. Very passionate. Tends to spend too much time on some books and hardly any time on other books. Also she touched her butt a lot :S

She tended to spend to much time on some things but not enough on others. She encouraged discussion and really tried to make sure everyone understood what was going on. the few smaller assignments that lead up too essays really helped.

She likes to let the students contribute heavily to the discussion and feed/build off of it, rather than trying to tell the students what to think about the literature. Essays are tough, so try to think of some interesting ideas that you can back up. All in all, this class was very enjoyable and the literature studied was interesting.

Loved this class! it was intimate and unintimidating- yes i agree like highschool but in a good way. took a couple months to get first assignment back but marks are fair and testing is predictable. She fed off class participation and lectures seemed to crescendo to some new revelation or consensus. Highly recommended for first years.

Pretty good prof, lots of energy and enthusiasm for the course material. There really aren't any wrong answers in the class discussion, but you will need to provide strong evidence for your essays. Frankly, I don't usually like Canadian literature, and I didn't enjoy the novels we had to read, which kind of ruined the class for me.

I found her class to be a replica of my gr 12 class.. so it was a bit boring for me. Participate in class, even if you think you're wrong - there's no 'definitive right answer' in her classes, so it's all just analyzing and interpreting text. The poems were interesting, but it didn't quite feel like a Uni level class. Fun for first year, though.

She is very passionate about her work but has very high excpectations of papers. She wants every paper to be a really diffrent idea that she has never thought of, aka like writing a master thesis paper. She was really hard on grades and never went above a 70% on my papers yet in other classes i got 80% most times. Hard maker but interesting class.

She was excited about the content and choose a wide range of texts. She doesn't know how to "guide" class discussions, as she is open to every idea and that can be confusing. A fair marker and expects attendance and participation in class. Fun.

Great prof, and not too bad to look at either. Fun, exciting, and enthusiastic. Fair grading, but uses rather old texts. Went over too many poems to remember, but the final seemed fair. Overall, she was a great prof, who truly works hard to help everyone pass.

Prof. Fagan seems like she is very 'new' to the teaching scene. She is all over the place (all of the time) and her class was extremely boring. She was an unfair marker and didn't like to surpass the 70% line very often. I would highly reccommend NOT taking a class from this prof!

In class Fagan is interesting. She gets the students into group conversations which makes the class seem like its flying by. Good choice of works studied. However, she seems to be confused about what she wants as far as essays go, so its hard to write what she wants.
