His finals weigh so much you can fail just with that. Do your homework when he assigns it because its too much for the average student. Not extremely understanding. Good guy but always check on your grade! You guys can be close and he will still fail you!

I didn't do amazing in this class (considering its my major), but I did like like him. He is also my advisor, and extremely helpful with anything you need. For anyone taking analyt 1, start the HW early. Great guy tho

Best choice for Analytical Physics. If I didn't take it with him, I'd probably fail. You get a lot of partial credit, because he does paper tests. Provides a good amount of study material.

Best professor to take Analyt 1 with. Gives good notes and ways gives example problems. Tests and quizzes aren't difficult if you pay attention in lecture and do the webassign. He often gives solutions to homework in lecture with out students noticing or he will just ask if we have any questions on it. He is all around a great professor.

Fletcher is the best professor I have had at Geneseo. He is truly one of the best educators at this institution. I strongly recommend anyone to take a class with him! He is so, so helpful in office hours. He will help you even when he doesn't have office hours. It's unbelievable to me how much he cares for his students. FLETCHER IS THE BEST!

It's Calculus-Based physics, (i.e Impossible) He is a very nice grader but you have to put in some work. Go to class everyday. There are quizzes every week. Do the homework. You will fail miserably if you don't. God help you. Too bad, he doens't teach part III. His exams are written. (Other pyhsics exams are computer based. So, no partial credit.)

Fletcher is really great, he's passionate about how interesting quantum is and he really makes you interested too, the way he teaches makes it very understandable and he is very helpful in office hours, homeworks are long but helpful

Eh. I think I would have rather had capa tests and taken Baker. Fletcher is very conceptual and tends to withhold information during lectures so that you have to look it up and figure it out on your own. He is also a little girl when it comes to distractions in class and yells at the entire class for the few people on their phones. Viva la Pogo

Kurt Fletcher is the man. Incredibly friendly and accommodating. Would recommend for anything. Not 100% clear in lectures but great in office hours. Regards all students unconditionally positively. Obviously enthusiastic about Physics. Tests and Homeworks are very fair.

Dr. Fletcher was a really cool professor. He made the class interesting and was always energetic in class. His tests were very fair and he was very generous with partial credit. He performs a multitude of demos over the course of the semester and collects student's corresponding response sheets for participation credit. Work hard and you'll do well

Excellent professor! He is so good at explaining things, uses a model or toy every class to make physics entertaining. He's always eager to help you in office hours. He played his euphonium for the class. You have to study to do really well on the tests, but overall its not a very time consuming course.

Physics is definitely not my thing, but Fletcher does a great job of making it tolerable. Interactive lecture demos are pretty cool, doesn't call on you randomly like other profs. Study the homeworks and old tests he posts, take advantage of office hours, very nice/helpful. Hard class, but way better than first semester.

A fantastic professor! I really am not all that interested in physics, but going to this class, even at 8:30am is totally tolerable. Dr. Fletcher really wants to help his students and is a genuinally great person. Take Physics with him if you can!

Dr. Fletcher is definetly a good teacher. He made the class fun and interesting for the most part, which wasn't easy because a lot of the material for this class was covered in Analyt 4. The only thing I didn't like about him is he wasn't as helpful as I thought he could've been in office hours.

Extremely unresponsive to students he doesn't like. If you become "friends" with Dr. Fletcher, you'll enjoy his class. I was a physics major, with a B average, but I struggled in Calculus. I asked Fletcher for advice, since he was my advisor, and he told me to drop physics. He didn't care to spend the time to help and assist his students.

Comment:

Funny and can get students interested in the most boring material ever. Labs are ridiculously easy. Tests can be quite challenging however, even if you understand the material reasonably well. Textbooks are worthless, I didn't use them once - save some $ and just go to class once in a while.
