Kyla Madden was a very good prof. Her lectures were some of the best organized I've ever had. She was great at lecturing and her interest in Irish history really shines through. The exams were tough but she was quite generous with the major essays, I thought.

Wow! What an amazing prof. The classes are ridiculously well structured and are easy to follow since she puts the outline up on the board. She is also very very helpful and very down to earth. Her tests are also fairly easy and the readings aren't too heavy. I left her class with a strong appreciation of Irish history.

Sometimes disjointed, but her passion about the subject makes the class interesting, and ultimately her classes come together organizationally. I suspect she will get better as she gets more experience. You can learn a lot from the class if you want, but her demands were not terribly heavy.

Very enjoyable lectures. Could tell she really loves what she's teaching and also enjoys lecturing. Presents history in a very fact based way with lots of evidence. Key dates and names are good to know for the exams. Fair marker and is helpful when you ask her questions outside of class. Presented Irish History in a thought provoking way.
