I was nervous taking Prof. Lady Rojas' class seeing all the negative comments on here, but she is in fact a great teacher, dedicated to her role as a teacher. She is strict, but if you're a serious student you can get a good grade. You just need to be motivated in your studies and take the class seriously, as she does.

This prof is a psycho. She used her students for some poetry conference she was hosting, she surprises you with 20 page essays due with a two day notice and she is rude. She literally yelled at a student for being on her phone. I am a straight A student and her class is impossible. I had to drop it and delay my graduation because she is crazy.

Profesora Rojas was an awful teacher. Very disorganized and vague, was giving students huge workloads and 20 page papers after a month of teaching this class. She was very rude sometimes and definitely doesnt help students who want to improve their Spanish skills. Very hard marker as well!

I refuse to take any class with her from now on. As much as I love strict professors and tough graders, this professor is beyond all that. She will forget everything in syllabus when it's too late to drop the class. You can expect extra papers to submit, new assignments, passive aggressive criticism based on personal dislike (not on your work).

Profesor Rojas is extremely passionate about what she teaches and the passion shines through. However, she is extremely unorganized and unclear. Her classes are extremely time consuming and she is not an easy grader.

I have taken two courses and I would take another one! Her courses aren-t easy, no.. but after all you aren-t in elementary school. You have to read and work hard. Always available at her office for help, always! Her syllabus is clear and detailed. Sometimes her explanations are as if you should know things from before, still, she helps you a lot.

If your passion is South American Feminist literature, this class is for you. You will (attempt to) learn all (by yourself) about grammar, style and the art of writing (and having pop-oral quizzes) in this class. Week after week, assignments pile up onto each other. LOTS of work, but I have to admit it was really helpful,beyond the grade I received

Lady Rojas is by far the worst teacher I've had up to date. Very unclear and unhelpful with complicated explanations for questions asked. Basically expects students to have high-level spanish fluency, excellent grammar skills, and a background in poetry and literature . Marks essays, tests, and presentations brutally. Nice person, but awful prof.

Very bad teaching skills! Her classes where hard to understand. She was never clear with the homework and I found out mid term that we were supposed to summarize the whole course pack! It was a lot of reading! Very unfair with the grades, she doesn't care that you are not a native spanish speaker, she will be still very tuff grading you.

Very demanding. Goes off track and talks about personal life. World's hardest marker. She gives .25 of a mark on bonus work even though it takes an hour to do! Not clear when giving lectures. She's very clever but terrible teacher who expects us all to have background knowledge on all the course topics. she looks for very specific test answers.. :(

nice person but she's EXTREMELY demanding. Avoid taking her classes if your not a literature genius. The amount of work is ridiculous and she's a very tough marker. Expects wayyy too much out of her students and doesnt seem to keep in mind that we have other classes too. if your not planning on devoting all your time to her class, DONT take her!

honestly, she has a super big heart and she a sweet Lady..but very very bad teacher. i hated this class so much..nothing was clear! you ask her a question and she blabbers on and on and doesnt even answer your question. she never specified when things were due so it was a big surprise when she said to hand in things. she did give extra credit tho!

In contrast to some other comments here, I would say her interest level in the subject was very high. She actually has some marvellous ideas. A major problem was that her critiques were often too harsh. Sometimes unclear in her expectations. Dates could change and new assignments be thrown in. Has many good points, but is disorganized.
