Comment:

He was a very inspirational professor when I was there in 2007. He overcame his blind/deaf disabilities & pursued his passion for teaching. He was probably misunderstood by those who did not have the pleasure of taking one of his classes. Lectured a lot, but his GA was AWESOME and helped the students out a lot. Great sense of humor!

Dr. Riley was a very wonderful teacher. He was very interesting, especially due to the fact that he is both hearing and visually impaired. He had a good sense of humor, and was always willing to help me.

I really liked Dr. Riley's class even though he was hard to understand sometimes. That's what made him interesting because you had to listen carefully. It's too bad he is retired or I would have taken him in future courses.

Very intelligent, kind of funny in a dry way, his classes are as hard a you want to make them. Me being a Psych Major, I want to get as much out of this class as possible.

Comment:

A little hard to understand but, you don't have to understand him. The SI goes over everything you need to know for the test in class before the test. This class was a study hour. You only need and 80 some odd percent to get an A. EASY A!If you show up everyday you get extra credit on the test. Riley-he's just a sweet old man who is misunderstood.

PROS: easy class. tests are mostly T/F and no b.s. work to do. just three tests. tests are curved like there's no tomorrow. extra credit is plentiful. CONS: he can be a little hard to understand at first, but he does a great job. OVERALL: almost impossible to get below a B.

He is a very intelligent man and loves what he does. He's a good teacher and I'm not trying to be mean, but this is just a warning: He's deaf and blind so it's kind of a hard class to sit through. It's extermely easy, but there's no interaction (he can't really) and it's just a straight lecture.

He's an amazing man. LOVES WHAT HE DOES! He cracks you up with his drawings, and jokes that no one understands. He is brillant, and tests are easy if you study the study guide. 80% is an A, so this is definitely a good class!!
