Does not follow a classplan. No syllabus. Students are generally confused at all times. Some days he talks about advanced subjects at length without introducing basic concepts behind them. Gets flustered and cannot do problems on the board. Does not use any teaching aids (powerpoint, ect). Cannot set a digital watch. Has difficulty with MS Word.

The first half of the semester was fine. Then something happened to him that put his brain somewhere else. He never really answered anyones questions, he would jump from subject to subject with no real understandable path, he made some crazy metaphors, and half the time I have no clue why I have the grade that I got.

You can tell he used to be a good professor and he used to know what he was talking about. Good professor but isnt the best at explaining things, makes them harder then they need to be. Class is pretty easy n hes a nice guy.

Stephens is an OK teacher for the first 3/4s of the class (after that you have to use Google and Wikipedia to understand what is going on becuz he makes it sound too hard). Do your circuits & homework.. Our 1st test was horrible but the 2nd made up for up. For the final study the last bit of stuff he teaches... trust me...

Stephens is a great teacher...sometimes hard to understand what he's talking about in class, but if you go to his office, he'll do everything he can to help you. You know you have a cool professor when he admits he wishes he had vodka in his tea.

caring, dedicated professor who knows what he is talking about. lectures and assignments are loaded with errors. sometimes he is unclear, and he has a TERRIBLE grading scale, but i've heard he is willing to help students outside of class.

Stephens is a pretty good teacher, he will always help out if you have a problem. He presenets the material very clearly and will go over anything you dont understand right there. Only downfall is he uses a HS grading scale so its hard to get an A

Use the book to look up chip design layouts for your circuit projects.... Use his lectures to learn everything else. Most challenging part of the class are the circuit boards. Work on them as soon as you get the assignment details. Very caring teacher.
