Larry Waldman is an awesome guy! Loves to tell jokes. However, this class was pretty difficult. Homework took HOURS to complete--there were about 3-4 chapters you had to read before each test, and each assigned over 100 online questions. Then there was a module with an extra 10-30 per chapter. Study the book--you'll need it for those tests.

The tests were so wildly different from the material covered in class, sometimes it was impossible to prepare. Unclear guidelines and huge curves to compensate for the terrible grades. Would not recommend.

Although lectures are hard to follow, this course proves to be very easy to pass. Take your time doing the homework, go to class on specific lectures Waldman tells you to attend. Overall it'll take maybe 2 hours out of your week, which really isn't bad at all for a college course. He doesn't deserve the poor ratings he's received. Great guy!

Lectures were often confusing and tangent filled- unhelpful or a waste of time, according to peers. Homework is given online, usually 3 or 4 chapters given per month, taking 2 hours + a chapter. It can add up to a LOT. Tests were very difficult, and not related to lecture, often asked about random specific facts so basically, memorize everything!

Review arent anything like the test and neither are lectures. Even if you go to class, it literally does NOT help. Youre basically taking an online class with in class tests. I dont recommend taking this class. If you do, be prepared to fall asleep during class. The semester is just about over and he hasnt put any grades in on learn, unhelpful

I love Larry Waldman. He does not deserve the poor ratings he's received here and it honestly made me sad to see that he got them.

I consider myself very forgiving of teachers, but going to Waldman's lectures was close to worthless for me. I never missed class, but I know that if I had it wouldn't have made a difference. In order to do well on tests, you must heavily read the textbook and complete the online homework modules that take hours. He also doesn't do +- grading.

He assigns modules that take 2 hours each to complete plus a quiz on each one. His lectures are boring, not clear and he jumps all over the place. He gives no schedule of what you have to read and announces his exam dates randomly. I found Econ interesting but he just discouraged me from this subject completely

Larry made Microeconomics interesting when I went to class. I skipped a lot, although I regret it. Sorry Larry. But, he told me students that don't come to his class usually don't pass (The reason for the mandatory attendance). He's a really funny guy. Lectures aren't boring. Online homework isn't too bad. Great sideburns. Definitely recommend.

Good guy, terrible professor. His lectures are the most boring things of my life. He realizes it too so sometimes he'll tell a joke. Goes on long tangents about cars and gas prices. Briefly overviews specific graphs and then you're left knowing nothing on the test. BUT he does curve the tests. I feel bad writing this but it's honest.

Do not take class with this professor. Lectures are impossible to follow, he often loses his train of thought and goes on tangents, test averages were below a C- for every test this semester, and the homework takes at least 3 hours to complete. Went to test reviews and filled out memorized the study guide and still did not pass even 1 test.

Larry is a "seasoned" professor who has come back from retirement to teach intermittently. He gives rather long lectures that are sort of hard to follow. His TA definitely helped a lot during the review sessions. This course relies heavily on this software called "Learn Smart". It is EXTREMELY time consuming. So be ready to lose sleep.

Larry Waldman is a very interesting professor who oftentimes loses his train of thought. This is an extremely difficult class. If you want an A STUDY HARD FROM THE TEXTBOOK. The textbook is what the class pretty much covers not his lectures.

I am an economics major and Waldman managed to turn econ into one of my most hated subjects for a semester. It is very unfortunate this guy teaches lower level econ because he is putting so many students off from the subject. The tests are based upon material never covered in class; study the text book and don't go to the lectures.

If you go to class you are wasting your time. The lectures are worthless, the test is completly different from anything in class. Read the book and hope for the best.
