Take Him!!! Made the class easy. Everything is online. Do all hw, go to class (e.c.), pay attention and print off everything he puts up and you should do fine. Only thing I didnt like is that if you have him for one of his smaller classes and he learns your name he will call you out or put you on the spot to answer questions. Overall, he is cool

Comment:

He's hilarious. He's sweet and nice, although he has an accent which can be difficult at times but it's not horrible (I think he's from Africa). All homework, quizzes, and tests are online which makes life so much easier. EVERYTHING IS STRAIGHT OUT OF THE BOOK SO GET IT!! It's possible to do well if you put in the effort.

Balogun is a nice helpful guy. However he is hard to understand and the way he talks annoys me so much. Class is fairly difficult but he tries to help you just talk to him

This is my second time taking ECON 2113, my first teacher was absolutely horrible. Balogun is probably one of the most interesting professors at ECU. He's very helpful and makes sure to relate the information to students everyday life. The tests and quizzes can be difficult, but they're online so you can use the book and find the answers.

He says there are 2 ways to die Homicide and Suicide and he is not going to kill you. now this is not a guaranteed "A" and you will need to put in a bit of work but Professor Balogun is great and he is willing to work with you so you can pass this class

Mr. Balogun is a great teacher.I would recommend him to everyone. Attendance is not mandatory but at the end of the semester how ever many days you miss you take that out of 50 points, sometimes he will give extra points to those who are in class.All test, quiz's, and homework were online.He gives at least two to three hours on quiz's and test.

The students that gave him bad ratings probably just haven't put on their big boy college pants yet. So maybe he's not going to give you an easy A. You have to WORK for it. I liked him as a professor and as a person. He has quite a sense of humor and is an overall really kind, helpful guy.

Material is tough but he is very fair & easy to work with. All homework, quiz's, tests were online (no in class work), and we could drop the lowest test grade. Final was not comprehensive. Accent is hard to understand at times. Rewards those who come to class w/ EC (esp in the rain). Would take him again in a second.

Beware of this professor. I am taking this course online and the tests are ridiculously difficult. The average score for the entire class for the last test was 69.67%. If that is the average grade, I imagine there is something wrong with his teaching methods. Avoid this professor or you will ruin your GPA!

The tests wern't to difficult I read the chapters and got consistantly high B's I'm sure if you do the problems you'll get A's. He doesn't respond to E-mails or atleast any from me. He does give extra credit but doesn't tell you when it will be online he just says sometime in the next 72 hours. I think he refuses to give A's on homework.

Most negative comments are from people who probably don't pay attention in class and are probably hoping for an easy "A" from an "intro" class. I am no A student, but I sat towards the front, asked question and was able to get a B. He is a nice man and very fair. He gives you plenty of chances to improve your grade from ex. credit to retest.
