Latham is a passionate teacher who lives econometrics. 10 lab assignments where you kinda have to figure it out yourself (or groups). First two exams aren't that bad, but the final was a complete curveball. Represented nothing like past exams, which was unfair. Overall he's a good guy. Makes the course relevant but you'll need to work for it.

10 H.W. assignments that require an in-depth knowledge of Eviews but he explains most of it in class. 2 exams and a final: very fair exams and a sizable curve. Reading the book is helpful. Latham is a genial professor and truly loves teaching. I would definitely recommend.

Class was kind of boring. Text was useless, dont bother purchasing. 3 exams and a debate at the very end. Lets you correct the exams. Curved. Nice professor, not as right leaning as everyone makes him seem.

Great professor and learned a lot. The text is kinda pointless, but the WSJ is a useful resource. Not a leftist like most professors which is nice. Also he curves generously, which is nice. Probably one of the best econ profs at UD.

Good Pr. for who wants to get an introduction and a good understanding of Econometrics. Took hiss class back in Fall 2005. After a few jobs in the consulting field and finance in Europe, I'm now working in a job using econ. Believe me, his class is helpful!

Whoo a republican! Also have fun getting 50s on exams and getting Bs/Cs whats the point? lets make the exams super hard to fail everyone and then curve them 30%?? Boring talker, boring material, steer clear pick diff Econ for 300s requirement. Hated seniors too

Favorite professor I've had so far. Incredibly smart and helpful. Sometimes he'll jump into material that's way ahead of the class, but the tests aren't terrible and the curve is great. All around great teacher. Also not crazy liberal like most of the department.

Latham is great. He knows his stuff and ties it into current events. Unlike most professors, he is not a bleeding heart liberal, which is nice. Kind of boring material, but he did his best to make it not boring. Also, he's generous with the curve.

I don't know what the comment below is talking about, he is definitely a great professor. Always tied in current events at the beginning of class and taught at a perfect pace. He knows his stuff and gives great feedback on exams and homework assignments. Easy to talk to. The only downside is he's married, haha. But seriously, he's great.

This is by far the worst professor at the Econ department. He doesn't know how to teach period. We(students) had to correct him all the time.He NEVER answers your emails or if he does it's a month later after the fact.He is very unprofessional and is the first professor whom I had who wasDRUNK in his review session. I had an A, but I taught mys

He is awesome!!! If you want to learn the subject, he is the prof to teach it to you. Whoever said he is arrogant is from another planet. He is very helpful and answers emails quickly with homework questions (even late at night). Not only is he nice, but fair too. This was one of my favorite profs at UD. I highly recommend!!

This man is 1 of the nicest guys u would ever meet n his class kicks ass. He's very Republican and loves to bash big government, which is nice. He can be very funny at times. The tests r tedious but hes always trying to make them easier and he gives nice curves. I wish I could have Latham for every class that I will be taking here.
