Comment:

There is homework Monday through Friday each week during classes. The final paper is not clearly outlined as to what it is supposed to cover or the due date. All assignments are due by 9am and all responses are due by noon. That is challenging for someone who has a full time job and not allowed to access the Internet during work hours.

I had Bates for English 280 online, and I recommend taking it online if you are thinking about it because it was soooo easy. Just make sure that you are doing each discussion post due by 9 am every Monday because that's what you are graded over. Don't forget about your 1,000 word essays either!

4 main projects over the year with two tests. Really easy grader, just do what she wants and asks for. Is willing to help with your grade. Three group projects. Expect to give some effort outside of class but she tries to make time for it in class.

This class is very easy. The only downfall is, you have a total of 5 grades, each being 100 points. You have 4 units, at the end of each unit you have to write a reflective essay and that it worth 100 points. As long as you do a decent job you will get a good grade on the essays. The final at the end of the semester is worth 100 points, it is easy.

This is one of the easiest classes ive taken at ISU. You do unit lesson plans like 4 of them the only test is the final at the end of the semester. As long as you do the unit lesson plans and come to class you are on the track to an easy A by far. I highly suggest her. I enjoyed all the different childrens literature units we did. No textbook

Dr. Bates is an extremely nice person and would be willing to help anyone. Although Shakespeare is not my favorite subject, she tries to make it intersting and is awesome! I would recommend her to anyone!

Really a nice lady, but if you do not like Shakespeare do not take this class. That is all it is about. You will have to write two papers in the class one of them is a research paper, but it's not hard. The mid-term was quite a bit harder than the final.

She is one of the best teachers at ISU!! She is fair to everybody, and her classes include lots of discussios, which are so fun! I want to take her classes again.
